A number for emergencies
Calling the fire service is free from any public telephone and no token is required. The caller must state calmly, where they are calling from, including their name, telephone number and address. They must also explain what has happened, the danger, if there are any injured and on what floor of the building. They must also tell the fire service exactly where to go, including directions, street name and telephone number.
The task of the fire service is to ensure the safety, in a direct, immediate way, of any person or animal in case of danger from fire or other incident.
