Originally dedicated to the holy trinity and built by Benedetto Rozone, milanese master in 1030, it was dedicated to St. Sepolcro in 1100. Of notable complexity, the original plan was completely changed over time and especially from 1578 with the intervention of Carlo Borromeo. Despite the changes, the church has kept it's extremely interesting 'double church' style with a crypt underlying the church from the 17th century. There are also designs by Leonardo di Vinci, which were inherent to the changes in the church.
