Piero e Pia

Warm winter place

Nice and warm, this Emilian trattoria near the Politecnico has long become a meeting point for the "glitterati" living in or visiting Milan. So you may sit next to Inge Feltrinelli or a famous writer. The reason for its popularity is clear: mouth watering food at reasonable prices. The owners are from Piacenza, which is the hometown of the best salami and coppa in Italy, which you can have for a starter along with a good bottle of Lambrusco. After that you may taste some of the finest traditional meat courses such as bollito (not available every day), or outstanding lamb or beef perfectly cut and cooked. We strongly suggest eating here on a cold, foggy winter evening: it's the kind of climate that best suits these foods and wines. Remember to book well in advance. Easy parking in the street at night.
