Stockholm
Consecrated already in 1840
The first building at this church was consecrated already in 1840. At that time the church was called the English Church, but sixteen years later it was renamed Betlehemskyrkan. When the city of Stockholm was transformed in 1950, the 113-year-old church had to be pulled down. Today Betlehemskyrkan is located on Luntmakargatan.
The church seats 400 people. The altar tapestry shows The Holy City and was made by Sofia Widén. The cross by the sanctuary is made of ebony and teak. Every Sunday there are prayers at 10am and a morning service at 11am, and every Wednesday there is an evening service at 6pm.
