Stockholm
In the middle of Stockholm
Klara church is located in the centre of Stockholm city, and its cemetery still preserves the form it had in the seventeenth century. The churchyard contains a few chapels built during the eighteenth century, and the funeral chapel dates from 1889. The present church was commissioned by Johan III, who engaged Dutch architect Henrik van Huwen. The tower and façade got their present look when Helgo Zettervall restored the church in 1884-1886, when the extended tower buildings where added.
The interior's character dates from when Agi Lingegren restored the inside between 1906 and 1907. The arches where decorated by Olle Hjortzberg. Morning services are held every Sunday at 11am.
