Stockholm
Ancestry from the sixteenth century
Work on Sankt Jakobs church was started by order of Johan III in 1580. The redbrick church got its design from the late Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles. The square central tower is what makes the character of the church. The exterior got its current look when the church was restored in 1968-69, recreating the sixteenth-century style.
