Electronics Travel Checklist

We've rounded up a checklist of the most commonly used travel electronics to help you pack for your next vacation.

  • Foreign Adapter - Be sure you have the proper type of adapter for the country you are visiting.

  • Cell Phone & Charger - Your cell phone will not work outside the US unless international service has been activated through your provider. Keep in mind that international fees can be quite costly. If you need to make a call, consider downloading Skype on one of your devices and use it to make calls when a Wi-Fi connection is available. We are pleased to offer complimentary Wi-Fi service on-board our touring motor coaches.

  • Digital Camera & Charger - Many cell phones today have high quality cameras. If you decide to bring another camera along on your vacation, be sure you’ll be comfortable carrying it around with you all day. Pack a carrying case and be sure to keep it on you at all times while sightseeing.  And don’t forget to pack your camera charger (or extra batteries). Even if your camera is new, its battery likely won’t last more than a few days.

  • Memory Card - Make sure your camera has a SIM card to store photos – otherwise you memorable vacation photos won’t be saved!

  • Kindle or Tablet & Charger - Many people enjoy reading books on a Kindle while traveling. And tablets such as the iPad are great alternatives to laptop computers, allowing you to do everything from browsing the internet (when a Wi-Fi connection is available) to reading a book and even calling family back home from Skype.   If you decide to bring one on your vacation, make sure it’s protected by a carrying case. But the last thing you want is for your Kindle to die halfway through a great page-turner. So remember to pack your charger and you’ll be able to enjoy a good read at your hotel, on your motor coach, or river cruise ship – whenever the mood strikes.

  • Laptop & Charger - If you decide to bring a laptop on your vacation, make you’re you’ll be comfortable carrying it around during your trip. To avoid damage to your computer, avoid packing it in your suitcase during long flights. Make sure it’s protected and keep airline carry-on restrictions in mind.
