Start in Warsaw then continue into Lithuania and the beautiful Baroque city of Vilnius then it's on to Riga, capital of Latvia. Travel along the Gulf of Riga and spend two nights in Tallinn, Estonia.
In the Baroque city of St. Petersburg, see the unparalleled art collection started by Catherine the Great in the Hermitage Museum. While in Moscow, see the enduring influence of Ivan the Terrible, Peter the Great and the Bolsheviks in a city that is rapidly changing.

Vilnius - KGB Museum VisitOur guided tour includes the most important part of the museum which was the KGB prison that was established in the autumn of 1940 after Lithuania’s occupation by the Soviet Union. Only at the beginning of the 1960s, when anti-Soviet resistance was broken, were most of the cells changed to house archives. However, some were still being used for the imprisonment of dissidents and fighters for human rights until the departure of the KGB in August 1991. |

A guided tour around the fortress, then a visit to the church which is the burial place of Peter the Great and his descendants. This is also the final resting place for the remains of the last Tsar, Nicholas II and his family. |
Moscow - ZagorskOur excursion takes us to Zagorsk - renowned as a center of ancient Russian art and architecture. For centuries it has served as the religious capital of Russia and place of pilgrimage for the faithful of the Russian Orthodox creed. Within the old walled city we see the Troitse Sergiyevo Lavra, a working monastery, where the Orthodox faith was tolerated by the State and kept alive even during the ‘years of atheism’. You will also have a chance to browse for some locally made Russian handicrafts, wooden toys and Matryoshka dolls on sale at the local market. |
St. Petersburg - Neva River CruiseSoak up the atmosphere, romance and lights of this unique and beautiful city known as ‘the Venice of the North’. St. Petersburg - Yusupov PalaceA chance to visit this beautifully restored baroque palace, the former residence of the Yusupov family and the scene of Rasputin’s murder. Here we will tour the palace including the room where the murder took place and hear the fascinating story of this Siberian monk and his influence on the Imperial Family. |
Moscow - Russian MosaicThe complex history of Russia is fixed in the soul of the people and this tour will cover recent and past historical events which have shaped this great nation. We visit the awe inspiring memorial park and complex inaugurated for the 50th Anniversary of World War II. This is an emotional tribute to those who fell on the battlefields of a war that left scars on the psyche of every Russian. We continue to the Borodino Panorama Exhibition which brings to life the decisive events of 1812 in a painting 115 m (375 feet) long; accompanied by special sound effects reproducing the battle sounds of the 19th C. At the Novodevichy cemetery we see memorials to such great names as Khrushchev, Chekhov, Mayakovsky, Prokofiev, Eisenstein, Gromyko and Raisa Gorbachova. It is a fascinating place with tombs ranging from modest to outlandish. |
