Enjoy the highlights of Germany on this 9-day journey. Fly into Frankfurt and head to the lovely town of Mainz for your first evening. On your way to scenic Rothenburg, the best preserved city along the Romantic Road, stop in Heidelberg to view the city from the castle fortress. In Rothenburg, explore the narrow, cobbled streets before enjoying a Highlight Dinner. On through the Bavarian countryside to Munich where you will see the Olympic Stadium on your way into town.
From Munich you have the chance to add on the Oberammergau package and experience the amazing Passion Play, held every 10 years! If that is not of interest to you, enjoy a trip to the Bavarian Alps to visit Neuschwanstein, the fairytale castle of King Ludwig.
After a fascinating stay in Munich head north to Dresden via Nuremburg, stopping there to visit the old town with it’s 46 towers. Upon arrival in Dresden see all the splendors of the city before continuing your tour to Berlin. Your sightseeing in Berlin takes in all the “must see” sites including Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag with time for an optional afternoon trip to Potsdam. On your flight home you will be confident you’ve seen the “Best of Germany”.
