In 9 days see the best that Italy has to offer! Start your tour of fabulous Italy in Rome, the eternal city. Experience the grandeur of this ancient city as your guide takes you to the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and a highlight visit to St Peter’s Basilica, the largest Christian church in the world. From Rome travel via the gorgeous Italian countryside to magical Venice! Spend time admiring the quaint bridges, ornate palaces, and gondolas and soak in the ambiance of “La Serenissima” at St Mark’s Square. See the Doges’ Palace and Bridge of Sighs and watch glass blowers at work.
Then, onto Florence, home of the Renaissance. Visit the Accadamia to see the original Statue of David, admire the Baptisterys “Gates of Paradise” doors and people watch at Signoria Square. In your free time enjoy the best gelato in all of Italy and perhaps purchase some famous Florentine leatherwork. From Florence take the autostrada via Umbria and back to Roma. Once there visit the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel and gaze in awe at Michelangelo’s famous painted ceiling. The farewell Highlight Dinner is a grand finale to a perfect trip.
