Trip Itinerary
DAY 1 Arrive Boston
VIP Door-to-Door Transfer to your local airport for your flight to Boston. A complimentary transfer is provided to your hotel. Your Tour Director will be at the hotel this afternoon to answer any questions you may have.Join us at 6:00 pm for a Welcome drink at the hotel.
DAY 2 Boston – Maine Coast – Bar Harbor
Heading north, we travel through Portsmouth, New Hampshire, into the state of Maine. We then journey along the state's scenic shoreline, offering a glimpse into its rich past in whaling, shipbuilding and lobstering.The quaint villages along the way typify quintessential New England, and our Tour Director will show us a Hidden Treasure. We then cross a narrow spit of land to Mount Desert Island and the seaside town of Bar Harbor for our two-night stay. This evening, join your fellow travelers for a Maine lobster dinner!

DAY 3 Acadia National Park Excursion
This morning we explore beautiful Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park, the only national park in New England. Its wooded roads offer views of quiet ponds and rocky beaches, highlighted by the blaze of autumn colors. A stop at the top of Cadillac Mountain provides us with sweeping views of the park, Bar Harbor and the islands of Frenchman Bay. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore Bar Harbor – perhaps take an optional nature cruise, or simply relax in this quaint village

DAY 4 Bar Harbor – Pinkham Notch – North Conway
Leaving the Maine Coast we turn inland and travel through the colorful woodlands of maples, birch and sumac. Entering New Hampshire, we stop at Pinkham Notch for a gondola ride to the top of Wildcat Mountain with incredible views of the White Mountains. We spend the night in the town of North Conway, a popular year-round resort. After dinner, enjoy a presentation on the flora and fauna of the White Mountains.

DAY 5 North Conway – Woodstock - Killington
More beautiful vistas await us today as we travel through New Hampshire into Vermont, New England's most rural state, where tiny villages and remote farm houses are framed by the striking autumn colors. We visit Billings Farm & Museum for an interesting look back into New England farm life, before arriving in Woodstock, often called "the prettiest small town in America." There is time to enjoy the romantic charm of this quintessential New England village with its covered bridge, quaint streets and stately homes surrounding the village green. We continue onto our overnight accommodation in Killington, located in the heart of the beautiful Green Mountains.

DAY 6 Killington – Fort Ticonderoga – Lake Placid
The historic importance of the region is brought to life today as we visit Fort Ticonderoga, located at the southern tip of Lake Champlain. Built in the 1750s, the fort played a strategic role in colonial and revolutionary history. We continue into New York State and the Adirondack Mountains, the largest protected land in America. Dotted with alpine lakes and beautiful mountains, the Adirondacks are a delight to visit. We overnight in the village of Lake Placid and tour the 1980 Winter Olympic Arena. Later, there's free time for a leisurely stroll and maybe capture a picture of autumn trees reflecting in the still waters of the lake.

DAY 7 Lake Placid – Albany – Springfield
More magnificent scenery today as we travel south out of the Adirondacks and join the wooded shores of Lake George. This area is steeped in colonial history; learn more about the epic battles between the French and British to maintain control of this strategic waterway. Our journey continues to the state capital, Albany, located at the headwaters of the Hudson River and terminus of the Erie Canal. After a visit to the impressive Rockefeller Empire State Plaza, we cross into western Massachusetts and the rolling countryside of the Berkshires. Learn more about the area's most famous artist during our visit to the Norman Rockwell Museum. Tonight we enjoy a Farewell Dinner with newfound friends.

DAY 8 Springfield – Lexington & Concord – Depart Boston
Our journey this morning takes us into the heart of Revolutionary War history with a visit to the towns of Lexington and Concord, made famous in Longfellow's poem about “Paul Revere's Ride.” It was in these two small villages that in April 1775 the first shots of the American Revolution were fired. We also see the Minuteman Statue, Concord Bridge and Lexington Green before returning to Boston. A complimentary transfer is provided to Boston International Airport.
