 On arrival at Charles de Gualle Airport, your airport shuttle service
leaves for the tour hotel at 09:00,
12.00 & 15:00. As night falls,
join your Tour Director and fellow
travelers for a Welcome Drink. |
| Day 3 Paris |
|
 This morning we see the
Champs-Elysees, Arc de
Triomphe, Opera House, gothic
Cathedral of Notre Dame and
the River Seine. The afternoon
is free to join an optional tour to
the Palace of Versailles or simply
relax in a sidewalk café. Tonight,
a French dinner and Cabaret
complete with the French Can-
Can would be hard to resist!

| Day 3 Paris - Beaune - Engelberg |
|
South today through the famous
wine-producing region of Burgundy,
with a stop in the medieval town
of Beaune. Then, through the hilly
region of Franche Comte, past the
fortified town of Belfort part of the
wartime defences of the Maginot
Line and gateway to Alsace. We later
cross the mighty Rhine at Basel and
our home in Switzerland for two
relaxing nights will be the Alpine
village of Engelberg.

|
 View the impressive city wall
with its multiple watchtowers and
marvel at the decorated covered
bridge. Next, we visit the famous
Lion Monument, the masterful
stone sculpture in honor of the
heroic Swiss Guard of Louis XVI.

| Day 6 Engelberg - French Riviera |
|
South through the heart of
Switzerland this morning as we
follow the St. Gotthard route
to the beautiful Italian Lake
District. Conclude the day with
arrival on the spectacular French
Riviera for our two-night stay on
the Cote d´Azur, with its famous
sea front, shops and cultural life.

 A full day at leisure to explore
this Mediterranean paradise.
Tonight, enjoy this playground
of the rich and famous with
an included visit to the
Principality of Monaco and
see the famous Monte Carlo
Casino.

| Day 8 French Riviera - Pisa - Florence |
|
 First, we cross the border into
Italy, past Genoa, birthplace of
Christopher Columbus, to Pisa to
view the extraordinary Leaning Tower. Continue into the heart
of Tuscany to Florence. This
evening, enjoy the freedom of
your Dine-Around program
and choose from a selection of
restaurants recommended by
your Tour Director.

| Day 9 Florence - Rome |
|
 Florence – Rome
Sightseeing with your local
expert visits Signoria Square, the
Cathedral, Piazzale Michelangelo
and Santa Croce Basilica. Time to
shop for gold and leather before
we travel south this afternoon to
the “Eternal City” of Rome for a
leisurely three-night stay

| Day 10 - 11 Rome |

 Enjoy a morning guided sightseeing tour to view the
Roman Forum and Circus
Maximus, with visits to St. Peter’s
Basilica and the Colosseum, site
of gladiatorial combats and early
Christian martyrdom. The rest
of the day is at leisure. Day 11
is free or perhaps join a full day
optional tour to Sorrento and the
ruins of Pompeii.

| Day 12 Rome - Assisi - Venice |
|
 It’s “Arrivederci Roma” as we
cross the Apennine Mountains
on our way to mystical Assisi
– the pink-stoned city ringed
by medieval ramparts, set in
the heart of the Umbrian Hills.
Time free to explore St. Francis’
Basilica, known for its 13th
century fresco paintings before
continuing northwards across the
River Po to our hotel in Mestre.

| Day 13 Venice |
|
 This morning, we take our
included cruise to St. Mark’s
Square to view the Bridge of
Sighs and Doge’s Palace. The
remainder of the day is at leisure.

| Day 14 Venice - Innsbruck |
|
The peaks of the Alps surround
us as we journey to the Austrian
border. Continue north
through some of Europe’s
most spectacular scenery to the
Olympic city of Innsbruck.

| Day 15 Innsbruck - Rothenburg - Rhineland |
|
 Cross the border into Germany and head for a highlight stop in
Rothenburg, one of Europe’s best
preserved medieval towns, on the
“Romantic Road.” Continue to the
beautiful Rhine River Valley for a
leisurely two-night stay.

| Day 16 Rhineland (Rhine Cruise & Heidelberg Included) |

This morning, a highlight of the tour
as we enjoy a scenic Rhine cruise.
Travel past the infamous Lorelei
Rock, medieval castles and vineyards
planted by the Romans. Continue
to the university city of Heidelberg
where we see the castle of “Student
Prince” fame. Tonight enjoy a
Farewell Dinner with your new-found
friends.

 We bid farewell to Europe.
Departure transfers arrive Frankfurt
airport at 07:00, 10:00 & 11:30.
