Day 1 USA/Berlin
Overnight flight to Berlin.

Day 2 Arrive Berlin
Arrive in Berlin for a 2-night stay. This evening enjoy a Welcome Reception with your Tour Director.

Day 3 Berlin
Our sightseeing tour includes views of the Brandenburg Gate, the State Opera House, the old Berlin Wall, the Kurfurstendamm district and the Reichstag Building-restored after destruction by the tragic fire of 1933. Later get into a festive mood and join in the fun of the magical Berlin Christmas Market.

Day 4 Berlin/Leipzig/Dresden
We travel south today through old East Germany to Leipzig to visit Bach’s Thomas- Kirche and see the medieval Market Square, where the tradition of the Christmas market goes back to 1767. The Leipzig Market is known for its unique range of musical, cultural and culinary delights, as well as the inspirational location for Goethe’s “Faust.” We continue on to Dresden, former capital of Saxony, located on the Elbe River. Enjoy an orientation tour with views of the Semper Opera and Zwinger Palace.

Day 5 Dresden
A full day at leisure to enjoy the Strietzelmarkt, Germany’s oldest Christmas market which dates from 1434 or join an optional tour to Prague.

Day 6 Dresden/Nuremberg
Today we travel south to Nuremberg where the famous Christkindlmarkt attracts over two million visitors every year and is known for its culinary delights of Rostbratwurste, Lebkuchen gingerbread cake, and the traditional hot pungent Gluehwein.

Day 7 Nuremberg/Rothenburg/Munich
Today travel to the incredible medieval walled town of Rothenburg, one of the most photographed towns in Germany and home of the year-round Christmas Shop. Meander along the picturesque Romantic Road to Munich, the capital of Bavaria, for a leisurely 3-night stay.

Day 8 Munich
Munich’s morning sightseeing tour includes views of the Glockenspiel on Marienplatz, the Olympic Stadium, the City Hall, “Rathaus” and the famous twin domed “Fraunkirche”.

Day 9 Munich (Ludwig’s Linderhof Castle & Oberammergau Included):
This morning we drive south into the heart of the Bavarian Alps with soaring mountains, quaint villages and fairy tale castles. Stop in the Passion Play village of Oberammergau and visit Linderhof before returning to Munich for free time to enjoy the traditional Christmas market on Marienplatz Square. A gigantic Christmas tree overlooks the stalls featuring all sorts of decorations and local crafts and the festive mood is enhanced by typical Bavarian music and folk costumes which lend a unique and colorful mixture of sights and sounds. Tonight enjoy a festive Farewell Dinner.

Day 10 Munich/USA
Bid farewell to Germany.
