Day 4 Dublin - Co. Wicklow - Waterford

Drive through County Wicklow, also known as the “Garden of Ireland” and visit Glendalough, where St. Kevin founded his 6thcentury monastic settlement. Continue to Kilkenny, where we visit the 13th-century castle situated high on the banks of the River Nore. On arrival in Waterford we take a short walking tour with our local expert to see the highlights of this old Viking city.

Day 5 Waterford - Blarney - Killarney

This morning we visit the famous Waterford Crystal Showroom to admire the sparkling display of crystal. Continue along the coast via Dungarvan and Youghal to Blarney Castle for a chance to kiss the famous Stone of Eloquence! Then it’s on to Killarney and the Kingdom of Kerry for three relaxing nights.

Day 6 Killarney (Ring of Kerry Excursion Included)

An exciting day of travel, as we experience one of the most famous drives in all of Europe: the famous “Ring of Kerry.” The coastline of the Inveragh Peninsula, Queen Victoria’s “Ladies View,” and Charlie Chaplin’s hideaway of Waterville are all part of this breathtaking ride! This is Ireland as you’ve always imagined it! For dinner this evening, enjoy the freedom of your Dine-Around program, and choose from a selection of restaurants recommended by your Tour Director.

Day 8 Killarney - Galway

A special Explore & Discover™ event makes this morning unforgettable. We are invited into a private home and farm for a first-hand account of Irish farm life. Our route then takes us to the 700-foot Cliffs of Moher with breathtaking views of the Clare Coast. We cross the fascinating lime-stone plateau of the Burren on our way to Galway.

Day 9 Galway - Belleek - Londonderry

We pause this morning in Knock, famous for its apparitions in 1879, before continuing on to Drumcliffe to visit the grave of the famous Nobel Prize poet William Butler Yeats. A highlight visit takes us to the Belleek Pottery Factory in County Fermanagh, where we view the pottery process from the mold to the kiln with a private guide and maybe meet the craftsmen who produce this world famous pottery. Continue to Londonderry for two relaxing nights.

Day 10 Londonderry (Giant\'s Causeway Excursion Included)

Our sightseeing tour of Derry includes a stroll along the 17th century walls and a visit to the old center. This afternoon enjoy a stop at the fascinating Giant’s Causeway, a World Heritage Site with its honeycomb of symmetrical basalt columns protruding from the sea.

Day 11 Londonderry - Belfast

A picturesque drive takes us along the shore of Lough Neagh to Belfast for sightseeing in this vibrant city and a visit to the new Titanic Belfast Exhibition, showing the sights, sounds and smells of the shipyard and its most famous creation.

Day 12 Belfast - Edinburgh

Cross the Irish Sea and arrive in the Scottish port of Cairnryan. This afternoon we travel into ‘Robert Burns’ country; visit the birthplace of this great Scottish poet, a thatched-roof cottage in Alloway, and view nearby Brig-a- Doon of Tam O’Shanter fame. Continue to Edinburgh for a two night stay.

Day 13 Edinburgh

Bustling Princes Street, the Royal Mile and a visit to the imposing Edinburgh Castle are all included on our guided sightseeing tour of Edinburgh. Take a chance for an optional visit to St. Andrews, the home of golf and the famous Old Course. This evening selected departures enjoy the Military Tattoo on the Esplanade of Edinburgh Castle – a colorful mixture of historic battles and modern military maneuvers of massed Scottish pipe bands.

Day 14 Edinburgh - Highlighds (Hidden Scotland Excursion Included)

This morning we visit Glamis Castle, seat of the Earls of Strathmore, and, according to tradition, where Macbeth murdered King Duncan. Continuing into the Highlands and Hidden Scotland, we end our day with a fascinating Explore & Discover™ event to learn first hand about life on a Scottish sheep farm.

Day 15 Highlands - Glasgow

See some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery today as we head into a land of lost lakes and barren mountains. As we pass along the shores of Loch Ness, keep watch for the infamous Monster! Continue by way of Ben Nevis, eerie Glencoe — scene of the tragic massacre of the MacDonalds — and the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, where we enjoy a scenic cruise. Later we arrive in Glasgow, Scotland’s second city.

Day 16 Glasgow - Free Day

At leisure, catch up with last minute shopping or take an optional excursion to Stirling Castle, perched high on a rock overlooking the fields of “Braveheart” fame. This evening we toast “Slainte” to our “auld acquaintances” at our Highlight Farewell Dinner.
