On our sightseeing tour this morning, we view the famous Little Mermaid and the dragonspired Stock Exchange. | Day 4 Copenhagen - Stockholm |

Crossing the Oresund Bridge to Sweden, we travel through meadows and forests to the city of Jönköping, beautifully situated on Lake Vättern. We then make our way to a relaxing two-night stop in Stockholm, the 'ity of Water,' with its historic, cobbled streets and medieval buildings in perfect harmony with the modern sector of the metropolitan capital. Stockholm, known as the 'Venice of the North,' is built on 14 islands. Our guided tour takes in the Renaissance style Royal Palace and visits the magnificent City Hall, whose Golden Chamber has over 18 million gold mosaic stones. Later, we explore the cobblestone streets of Gamla Stan, the old town filled with antique shops and Bohemian spirit. An afternoon at leisure: perhaps visit the unique 17th-century Vasa Galleon, amazingly excavated in dry dock after 300 years under water. Scandinavian Breakfast Included |
| Day 6 Stockholm - Falun |

We get to know Sweden a little better today as we make a visit to Sigtuna and its delightful town hall. This historic gem was the seat of Viking Kings a thousand years ago. Next onto Uppsala, the country’s oldest university town, to see the splendid stained glass windows in its huge Gothic cathedral. Via the town’s prehistoric burial mounds we continue to Dalarna, home of the Dala Horse. Our overnight is in Falun, a town proud of its mine’s UNESCO World Heritage status. | Day 7 Falun - Dalarna Region - Lillehammer |

After a short morning stop in Nusnäs to visit a Dalarna Horse workshop, our route takes us via Mora to Sälen, the start of the Vasaloppet ski race and then into Norway. Enjoy a fascinating guided visit to the Maihaugen Open-Air Museum. Our guided tour of this living museum with farms, animals and workshops introduces us to life in the rural Norway of days-goneby. We continue through an ever changing landscape of lush deep valleys, lakes, rivers, dramatic mountains and sheer rock cliffs. We travel through the cheese-producing Gudbrandsdal Valley, home of Peer Gynt. This morning enjoy a highlight cruise on the Geiranger Fjord with its impressive sheer cliffs and tranquil blue green waters. See plunging waterfalls and snowcapped mountains as we make our way to idyllically situated Sognefjord. We enjoy a short boat ride across the fjord before reaching the old Hanseatic port of Bergen for a relaxing two-night stay. Enjoy a full free day at leisure in 18th century Bergen, Norway’s most beautiful city. This old trading port has a bustling and colorful fish market along the harbor and is the birthplace of Edvard Grieg, composer of the Peer Gynt Suite. This enjoyable day of scenic travel includes a thrilling highlight ride on the world famous Flam Railway. During the train ride, you’ll ascend 3,000 feet in 12 miles, passing thundering waterfalls and towering cliffs to the village of Flam. Today our city guide will show us the National Theater, Parliament, and Royal Palace with a stop in the Frogner Park to see Vigelands unique sculptures.
