Your journey through 5,000 years
of the history of Egypt’s rich
civilization begins this morning
with a highlight visit to the
world famous Egyptian Museum.
See Tutankhamun’s incredible
treasures, discovered by Howard
Carter in 1922 in the Valley of the Kings. Ancient statues, mummies
and sarcophagi fi ll this amazing
building. This afternoon continue
to the 12th-century Citadel of
Saladin for sweeping views over
the city and to visit the Alabaster
Mosque of Mohammed Ali. As
part of our Explore & Discover
series this evening, enjoy real
Egyptian hospitality as we dine

We fl y south to Luxor, located
on the banks of the River Nile.
The balance of the morning
is free before we board our
luxury cruise ship for lunch.
Then visit the grand Temple
of Luxor, marvel at the avenue
of human-headed sphinxes and
explore the great temple complex

Our sightseeing today begins
in the Valley of the Kings, fi nal
resting place of Tutankhamun.
See the Temple of Queen
Hatshepsut and the Colossi of
Memnon. Later sail south to
Edfu, located at the crossroads
of the ancient caravan routes. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included |
| DAY 6 Cruising Edfu - Kom Ombo |

This morning visit the Temple of
Horus, one of the most popular
and best preserved temples in
Egypt, dedicated to the Falcon
God. In the afternoon, enjoy the
scenery around the old towns,
which have changed very little
over the last hundreds of years. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included |
| DAY 7 Kom Ombo - Aswan |
|
We sail this morning to the southern
city of Aswan, known for its superb
location and healthy climate. See
the great Aswan Dam, which
created the largest artifi cial lake in
the world. We continue on to the
ancient Granite Quarries to see the
famous unfi nished Obelisk and the
Temple of Philae. Saved from the
waters of Lake Nasser, the Temple
was dismantled stone by stone and
reconstructed on the safe island
of Agilqiyya. The afternoon is at
leisure to enjoy the “Gateway to

This morning, perhaps visit the
local bazaar or take an optional
excursion to Abu Simbel.
This is an opportunity of a
lifetime to see one of the most
unforgettable sights of Ancient
Egypt. Carefully salvaged under
UNESCO supervision, the four
colossi of Ramases II are a sight

| DAY 9 Aswan - Edfu |

Sit back and relax as we enjoy
a ride on a traditional Felucca
sailing boat. Watching our
Nubian crew navigate the waters
around the Botanical Gardens
is a highlight of any visit to
Egypt. We view the outside of
the Mausoleum of Aga Khan
III, before setting sail for Kom
Ombu to visit the Sobek Temple,
dedicated to the Crocodile God.
This evening in Edfu, we dress
in our Galabeyas (traditional Egyptian garment) for our
Galabeyas Party. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included |

Enjoy a leisurely day cruising as
we continue north to Luxor for

This morning we disembark
and fly to Egypt’s capital, Cairo. Breakfast Included |

This adventurous day begins with a visit to the great Pyramids at
Giza, one of the Wonders of the
Ancient World. We continue on to
see the enigmatic Sphinx, with the
head of a man and body of a lion.
In the old capital of Memphis,
marvel at the limestone Colossus
of Ramses II and the
alabaster sphinx. In
Sakkara, see the oldest
of the pyramids, the
Step Pyramid of King
Zoser, dating back
over 2,700 years B.C.
Our day fi nishes with
a special Explore &
Discover event as we
learn about the art of
producing the famous
Papyrus paper — a
craft handed through
generations from the
ancient Egyptians. Breakfast Included |
