Trip Itinerary
DAY 1 USA - Athens
VIP Door-to-Door Transfer to your local airport for your overnight flight to Athens.
DAY 2 Arrive Athens
After your arrival in Athens, you will be transferred to your hotel for a relaxing two-night stay. Early this evening enjoy a Welcome Drink with your Tour Director.
DAY 3 Athens
Our morning sightseeing of the Greek capital views Socrates’ Agora, the Royal Palace, the Temple of Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch and the old Olympic Stadium, finishing point of the 2004 Olympic marathon, with a special visit to the Acropolis and its beautiful Parthenon.

DAY 4 Athens - Mycenae - Epidaurus - Nauplia
First, a stop to view the Corinth Canal to visit Ancient Corinth with the Temple of Apollo. We continue to Homer’s Mycenae to visit the Treasury of Atreus (the Beehive Tombs), the Lion’s Gate, and to see the remains of Agamemnon’s Royal Palace. We finish the day with a visit to Epidaurus’ 2,300-year-old openair theater, with its remarkable acoustics before spending the night in the resort of Naufplion.

DAY 5 Nauplia - Olympia
Via Megalopolis this morning, we make our way to Olympia, site of the first Olympic Games held in 776 BC. Our archaeological visits include the ruins of the Olympic Stadium and the Temple of Zeus.

DAY 6 Olympia - Kalambaka
A spectacular drive today, over the Gulf of Corinth and into the heart of Greece for a relaxing two-night stay in Kalambaka.

DAY 7 Kalambaka (Meteora monasteries Included)
Spend the morning in the incredible landscape of Meteora with its amazing rock-top monasteries. We will visit two monasteries famous for their Byzantine frescoes and spectacular views! Afternoon at leisure to enjoy this quaint town. For dinner this evening, enjoy the freedom of your Dine-Around program and choose from a selection of restaurants recommended by your Tour Director.

DAY 8 Kalambaka - Thessaloniki (Pella Included)
Drive through remote mountain valleys as we journey northwards. Passing quiet olive groves we arrive in Vergina for a highlight visit to the newly discovered tomb of King Philip II. Continue to Pella to visit the ruins where Aristotle taught the young Alexander the Great. We end our day in the port city of Thessaloniki for a leisurely two night stay.

DAY 9 Thessaloniki
We begin the day with a city tour including a stop at the White Tower, to see the statue of Alexander the Great and visit the old Byzantine church of St. Dimitrios. We continue with a drive up to the hills of Salonika to admire the ancient city walls and the Acropolis. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure to explore the city on your own.

DAY 10 Thessaloniki - Delphi
This morning we head south, along the coast for a stop at Thermopylae to see the site of the famous battle between the Spartans and the Persians. Continue to Delphi for a relaxing two-night stay.

DAY 11 Delphi
Today we visit one of the most beautiful ancient Greek sites, Delphi, home of the famed Oracle. Step back in time as you walk the Sacred Way to the Temple of Apollo and visit the world famous Delphi Museum. We will then visit the Castalia Spring and the Temple of Pronea at the Valley of Delphi.

DAY 12 Delphi - Athens
A short drive back to Athens today. Enjoy plenty of free time for last minute shopping or sightseeing before our Highlight Farewell Dinner tonight in a local restaurant!
