Experience the best of Eastern Europe on our 15-day Highlights of Eastern Europe. Go behind the iron curtain and discover this fascinating region of Europe. After flying into musical Vienna, head through the scenic Danube Valley to the twin cities of Buda & Pest. Visit the Castle district and Matthias Church then take in the view of the Danube from Fisherman’s Bastion. Enjoy the picturesque countryside of Slovakia en-route to historic Krakow. Upon arrival in Krakow, ascend Wawel Hill to visit the castle and cathedral and enjoy the old town.

On your way to Warsaw stop at Auschwitz concentration camp to remember the victims of Hitler before continuing on to see the Black Madonna at Jasna Gora Monastery. In Warsaw visit the Palace of Culture, Chopin Museum and the Monument of the Ghetto Heroes and see the reconstructed old town. On to Berlin, capital of Germany and the divided city during WWII. During your time in Berlin see the Brandenburg Gate and drive along the Unter den Linden in East Berlin. See the Opera House and take a highlight visit to Potsdam to visit Sans Souci Palace and see where the 1945 Treaty was signed.

From Berlin drive south to see the sights of Dresden before continuing on to Prague. Enjoy a visit to St Vitus’ Cathedral inside the 1000-year old Prague castle. Explore the town square and its famous Astronomical clock before enjoying some of Europe’s most lively nightlife. Explore the delightful Czech town of Czesky Krumlov before arriving back into Vienna. Visit the glorious Schonbrunn Palace and see all the sights along the “Ring”. Finish off your time with the dessert and coffee in one of Vienna’s famous coffee houses and think back on all the history you’ve just seen and experienced.
