Trip Itinerary
Day 1 USA - Tel Aviv:
Overnight flight to Tel Aviv.
In-flight Meal
Day 2 Arrive Tel Aviv:
After your arrival in Tel Aviv, you will be met by your Tour Director and transferred to your hotel. This evening enjoy a Welcome Reception and dinner with your Tour Director and travel companions.

Day 3 Tel Aviv (Jaffa Excursion Included):
After breakfast enjoy a short lecture on life in Israel by our resident local expert as part of our Explore & Discover™ series followed by an orientation sightseeing tour of Tel Aviv including the chance to stroll down Rothschild Boulevard with it’s wealth of Bauhaus buildings. Continue to the ancient port of Jaffa, from where Jonah set sail, and walk along the narrow cobblestone streets, now filled with boutiques and art galleries. We end the day at the Diaspora Museum situated on the Tel Aviv University Campus.

Day 4 Tel Aviv – Caesarea – Haifa – Acre - Tiberius:
This morning we journey north along the coastal plain to Caesarea, where we explore the ancient Roman and Crusader ruins, including the huge amphitheater, the aqueduct and a multi-media presentation which brings ancient history to life. Continue up the Carmel Mountains, where we join the locals in the Druze village of Ussafiya for lunch. Learn about their history and religious beliefs and gain an insight into their way of life as part of our Explore & Discover™ series. Later, admire the Persian Gardens at the Bahai Temple in Haifa, and then drive around the bay to Acre – fought over for centuries and captured in turn by Saracens and Crusaders, including Richard the Lionheart – where we visit the ancient city, the harbor and the Crusader Crypt before arriving in Tiberius.

Day 5 Tiberius (Capernaum & Banias Included):
Today we visit the ancient wooden boat, which is said to date from the times of Jesus, and Capernaum, where Jesus is said to have entered the Synagogue and taught. See the remains of the 2nd-century synagogue before continuing to Tabgha, site of the miracle of loaves and fishes, where we visit the Church of Multiplication with its 4th-century mosaic floor. After a stop at the Mount of the Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount, our morning ends with a serene boat ride across the tranquil Sea of Galilee. After a highlight lunch at Kibbutz Ein Gev we continue north to visit the Banias Spring and waterfall also known as Caesarea Phillipi. End the day with an exciting Explore & Discover™ event on the Golan Heights where we stop for wine tasting at one of the fine vineyards associated with the area.

Day 6 Tiberius - Nazareth - Beit Shean - Qumran - Dead Sea:
This morning drive to Nazareth via Cana of Galilee, the scene of the first miracle. In Nazareth, visit the Church of the Annunciation, St. Joseph’s Workshop and Mary’s Well. Then on to Beit Shean, also known as Scythopolis, the newly excavated city with fine Roman and Byzantine remains. Traveling south along the Jordan Valley we reach Qumran and visit the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered before driving along the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth, to reach our hotel situated on the waters’ edge.

Day 7 Dead Sea - Massada - Jerusalem:
Enjoy a highlight “float” in the Dead Sea before driving to Massada, the last stronghold of the Jews after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D. Ascend Massada by cable car and visit the food storeroom, water irrigation system and Herod’s Palace. Then climb the Judean hills to Jerusalem, our home for 3 relaxing nights. Enjoy the view from Mount Scopus and the Mount of Olives followed by a visit to King David’s Tomb on Mt. Zion, the Room of the Last Supper and the Cardo – the remains of an ancient Roman street. Before a traditional Shabbat Dinner visit the Western Wall, Judaism’s most sacred site, in order to see worshippers welcoming in the Shabbat.

Day 8 Jerusalem (Old City):
Wander through the tranquil Garden of Gethsemane before walking along the narrow streets of the Old City of Jerusalem to view the Temple Mount, one of Islam’s holiest sites and the Western Wall. Continue in the footsteps of Jesus along the Via Dolorosa and the Stations of the Cross. See the Pool of Bethesda, the Ecce Homo Arch (Behold the Man) and finish at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, built on the site of the crucifiction. The remainder of the day is free for last minute shopping in the bazaars of the Old City.

Day 9 Jerusalem (New City & Bethlehem Included):
After breakfast tour Yad-Vashem, the moving museum commemorating the memory of the 6 million Jews who were killed during the Holocaust. Continue to the Shrine of the Book housed in the Israel Museum to see the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Holy Land Model – a model of Jerusalem as it was during the 2nd Temple Period. Later, enjoy an excursion to Bethlehem (security permitting) birthplace of Jesus where we’ll visit Manger Square with the Church of Nativity and Shepherds’ Field. Tonight enjoy a festive Farewell Dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 10 Jerusalem - Tel Aviv - USA:
Bid farewell to Israel as you return to the USA.
