Trip Itinerary
Day 1 USA - Copenhagen:
Overnight flight to Copenhagen.
In-flight Meal Included
Day 2 Arrive Copenhagen:
Arrive in Copenhagen and transfer to your hotel for 3 leisurely nights. Tonight, a Welcome Reception and dinner hosted by your Tour Director introduces you to your traveling companions.

Days 3 & 4 Copenhagen:
Our morning sightseeing tour views the famous Little Mermaid and the dragon-spired Stock Exchange. We’ll see Amalienborg, home of the Danish monarchy and visit the state apartments of Christiansborg Palace, center of the Danish Parliament. This evening perhaps join an optional tour to Tivoli Gardens. Day 4 is at leisure to explore the old Christianshavn district, visit the Thorvaldsen Museum (sculptor of the Lion Monument in Lucerne) or venture into the Danish countryside and perhaps visit the fairytale castle of Frederiksborg and stop by the Royal summer residence of Fredensborg.

Day 5 Copenhagen - Stockholm:
Crossing the Oresund bridge to Sweden, we travel through meadows and forests to the city of Jonkoping, beautifully situated on Lake Vattern. We then make our way to a relaxing 2-night stay in Stockholm, “City of Water” with its cobbled streets and medieval buildings in harmony with the modern sector of today’s capital.

Day 6 Stockholm:
Start the day with an Explore and Discover lecture by our local expert about the world famous Swedish welfare state. Learn about the myths and realities of maintaining these first-class benefits. Stockholm is known as the Venice of the North, built on 14 islands. Our guided tour takes in the Baroque style Royal Palace and visits the magnificent City Hall with its Golden Chamber, home to over 18 million gold mosaic stones. Later, we visit the 13th-century Storkykan Cathedral and explore the cobblestone streets of the Gamla Stan, the old town filled with antique shops and Bohemian spirit. An afternoon at leisure to perhaps visit the unique 17th-century Vasa Galleon, amazingly excavated in dry dock after 300 years under water.

Day 7 Stockholm - Cruising
A day at leisure to shop for Swedish Crystal or stroll through Milles Garden with the amazing sculptures of Karl Milles. Time free for an optional excursion to “Hidden Sweden” with a trip to the idyllic town of Mariefred nestling on the shores of Lake Malaren followed by a stop at Gripsholm Castle for a guided tour of this 400-year-old castle or perhaps visit the Skansen Open-Air Museum with over 150 old buildings brought together from all over Sweden. This evening board our comfortable cruise ship for the fascinating voyage through the Swedish archipelago and across the Baltic Sea to Finland’s beautiful capital city, Helsinki.

Day 8 Cruising - Helsinki
On arrival in Helsinki this morning enjoy a sightseeing tour that includes views of Finlandia Hall, the Parliament Building and visits to the colorful Market Square, Sibelius Monument and the unique Rock Church of Temppeliaukio.

Day 9 Helsinki:
A full day at leisure in Helsinki or join an intriguing optional tour across the Baltic Sea to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.

Day 10 Helsinki - St. Petersburg:
A short journey as we head to the Finnish Russian border at Vyborg to arrive in St. Petersburg mid afternoon for a relaxing 3-night stay in this compelling city.

Day 11 St. Petersburg:
Founded in 1703 by Peter the Great, St. Petersburg is considered to be Russia’s most magnificent city. Russian baroque architecture meets our eyes as we travel along Nevsky Prospect to visit St. Isaac’s Cathedral. Pause at the local market before a special highlight visit to the famous Hermitage Museum, the Czar’s Winter Palace, which houses one of the world’s largest collections of fine art. Time in the evening for a visit to the ballet or a Russian folklore show.

Day 12 St. Petersburg:
This morning, take an included stroll through the gardens and fountains at Petrodvorets, the summer home of Peter the Great. The afternoon is at leisure to explore on your own or join an optional excursion to Catherine’s Palace to see the fabulous Amber Room. Tonight, enjoy an included Highlight Farewell Dinner with your new friends.
