Land in Helsinki and get your bearings Finnish style before crossing the Baltic to Estonia’s lovely 13th-century capital, Tallinn. Travel along the Gulf of Riga and spend two nights in Riga, capital of Latvia. Then continue into Lithuania and the beautiful Baroque city of Vilnius.

In Moscow, see the enduring influence of Ivan the Terrible, Peter the Great and the Bolsheviks in a city that is rapidly changing. And in the Baroque city of St. Petersburg, see the unparalleled art collection started by Catherine the Great in the Hermitage Museum.
