| Meet our Tour Director - Alex Golovko - "It is a real treat to take my visitors to the Kremlin - for most people it is something they have heard about all their lives, or seen in the movies. It's amazing to be able to see it in real life in all of its impressive beauty - we really get a great tour!" |

Money Matters
|
| The currency in Estonia is the kroon. Check current exchange rates before traveling. Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards, and travelers checks are widely accepted throughout the country, however cash is always easier outside the large cities, so plan accordingly.
Currency exchange agents are located in the major cities and tourist areas (American Express, Thomas Cook). ATM machines are located at all major banks and in major cities, but may be limited to bank hours and possibly closed on weekends. It is much easier to find currency exchange locations and ATM machines in the larger cities and towns.
As always, be careful not to carry too much cash and keep your money in a safe place at all times.
Before you go, it's a good idea to write down the customer service phone numbers and actual card numbers of your credit cards, passport, other ID, and bank cards- in the case of theft this will come in handy.

Electricity
|
| Electricity in Estonia is 220 volts, 50 cycle AC, as compared to 110 volts, 60 cycle AC in the U.S. When taking along electrical appliances, a converter and a plug adapter are needed to operate them.

Packing Tips
|
| Winters in Estonia from December to March are cold and are limited in daylight hours. Appropriate winter layers are suitable. Spring and summer months are warm and pleasant, light layers are appropriate during these times. Daytime is best suited for walking shoes. Appropriate gear for ice fishing, skiing or skating is necessary.
