Since joining us in 2016, Alyssa is always amazed at how much research guests have done before they call. “Most of the guests I speak with have looked at our brochure and visited our website. Or they have a list of cities they want to visit. From there I get to work and personalize the selection and planning process for them,” Alyssa says.
For guests who have traveled extensively, Alyssa will recommend guided vacations that include special and unique experiences. Our Days of Devotion tour, which includes a pilgrimage to Lourdes in Spain and Fatima in Portugal, is one of Alyssa’s favorites.
Another interesting journey on Alyssa’s list is a tour that includes the independent colony of Gibraltar, the site of the iconic Rock of Gibraltar. We offer three wonderful guided vacations that include the historic destination, including Best of Spain and Portugal and Treasures of Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, both operated by Insight Vacations.
You’ll find Alyssa always working diligently to research answers to your questions and following up quickly. “I think being personable and patient with all of my guests is one of the things that sets me apart as a travel planner. I love working the little details for you and getting all of them right.”
Those little details can add up to a more memorable vacation experience. If you’re celebrating an anniversary or milestone birthday, Alyssa wants to know. She makes sure that information is included in the Travel Director notes, and you could have an unexpected surprise on your special day.
Alyssa always checks in with guests when you arrive home. She loves hearing your travel stories. “One of the most exciting parts of my job is seeing how my guests see the world.”
Alyssa's Top Trips
This very popular destination became high on my bucket list by meeting native Brazilians while traveling abroad. Their sunny and positive personalities have deepened my interest in the region. I could listen to their sing/song Portuguese language and watch Brazilian music and dance forever! I would also love to climb the Corcovado mountain to see Christ the Redeemer up close and take in the beautiful landscape below.
Egypt has always been fascinating to me. It’s culture, history and sites have played a huge part in how modern civilization has been developed. I would love to take a vacation with a local specialist to soak up some history and understanding of the land and its people. Some must-see sights would be the UNESCO world heritage sights, the Great Sphinx of Giza and Luxor.
Looking at Thailand's lush green landscapes, contrasting rock formations and beautiful tranquil waters immediately puts me at ease. I picture myself relaxing on the beach or by the pool taking it all in. Thailand has some of the most striking temples to visit such as Wat Pho in Bangkok. As a lover of Thai cuisine, I would be caught in one of their open-air markets trying new fruits and other delicacies. It would be necessary to try as many seafood and curry dishes as possible!
I would love to travel to South Africa to experience the beautiful beaches and National Parks, for example, the Kruger National Park.
In India, I would love to see the iconic Taj Mahal and the exciting city of Varanasi.
I would love to visit Japan for their many seafood delicacies and breath-taking scenery. My top sights will be Mount Fuji, the Shibuya crosswalk and Arashiyama.
