Have peace of mind knowing that there is no urgency for you to make any future travel decisions right now, your trip can be postponed and rebooked without any penalty, with these below options available to you.

Suspended Trips

Due to ongoing uncertainty, spiking cases of COVID-19 and in accordance with travel restrictions imposed by government advisories worldwide, Trafalgar, Costsaver, Brendan Vacations, Insight Vacation and Luxury Gold have suspended all worldwide guided vacations departing up and until November 30, 2020; and all European and Britain trips departing up and until February 28, 2021. 

If you have a booked trip during this suspension period, please rest assured that you have a Future Travel Credit automatically available to you for the full value of the land portion of your trip, to use for travel before December 31, 2022. To give you maximum flexibility, you can also choose to transfer your Future Travel Credit to a friend or family member.

You are eligible to either:

  • Rebook now and change your travel dates or destination to any available trip without change fees on the land portion of your trip. Any discounts (of up to 15%) that had been applied to your original booking will be transferred and applied to your new booking. *

OR

  • Elect to hold a Future Travel Credit of the full amount paid for the land portion of the suspended vacation, redeemable against any new booking for travel to any destination departing before December 31, 2022. **

Have peace of mind knowing you have the flexibility to change the land portion of your trip to a new destination or date, free of charge until 30 days prior to departure. Please note that you are responsible for any airline penalties imposed due to trip changes and/or cancellations.*

Please also rest assured that our distancing and hygiene protocols on all of our trips meet requirements put forth by world health and local authorities, including the World Health Organization (WHO). Our new 3 step wellbeing approach adheres to the global safety protocols from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and is recognized by the WTTC Safe Travels stamp, which outlines global safety and hygiene for Travel & Tourism, designed specifically to address COVID-19. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present.  COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death.  According to the World Health Organization, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

We ask that you please take personal responsibility for your wellbeing. This begins with packing any personal protective equipment and sanitizers you require. Please adopt physical distancing and hygiene practices throughout your pre-trip travel arrangements and follow all health instruction whether physical signage or requests from our professional staff once you are vacationing with us.

In choosing to travel Grand European Travel and any of its associated brands, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

* The temporary change fee waiver only applies to the land portion of all trips and does not apply to group bookings. If you choose a trip or departure that is more expensive than the original, you are responsible for the difference in price; if the trip or departure is less expensive than the original, a Future Travel Credit will be issued for the difference. Please note however, you are responsible for any airline penalties imposed due to trip changes and/or cancellations.

** If you select this option, the new invoice will serve as the Future Travel Credit confirmation. A Future Travel Credit will be issued in the value of the amount paid for the land portion of the trip and is not redeemable for cash. The Future Travel Credit amount will stay assigned to the original booking number and can be transferred to another person. If you purchased Travel Insurance with us, your insurance premium will be moved to your future booking but cannot be transferred to another person. If the new booking is more expensive, additional premiums may be due to ensure Travel Insurance coverage on the new booking. To redeem the Future Travel Credit, just give us the booking reference number when calling to make the new reservation departing at any time before December 31, 2022.  If the new trip or departure is more expensive than the original, you will be responsible for the difference in price; if the new trip or departure is less expensive than the original, a Future Travel Credit will be issued for the difference. Discounts applied to the original booking will be transferred to the new booking up to 15%. These transferred discounts are not combinable with any land promotions available at time of booking the new trip. If discounts of more than 15% are available at time of booking, then the transferred discounts can be removed. Please note that you are responsible for any airline penalties imposed due to trip changes and/or cancellations. This offer may be withdrawn at any time and other restrictions may apply.

UNIWORLD RIVER CRUISES

Impacted 2020 Cruises (updated October 27, 2020)

As a result of the current global travel restrictions, all Uniworld voyages have been suspended through December 31, 2020. If you have a booking on one of these suspended voyages, a Travel Specialist will contact you to discuss your options.

Uniworld River Cruises Temporary Policy Updates (updated September 2, 2020*)

2020-2021 Cancellation Policy (for scheduled departures through June 30, 2021)
Guests with departure dates through June 30, 2021 can change or suspend their cruise up to 30 days prior to their departure date for European cruise/tours, or up to 60 days prior to their departure date for Exotic cruise/tours, without penalty and rebook on any future cruise through 2022 OR choose to receive a Future Travel Certificate equal to the amount of funds received by Uniworld at the time of cancellation. The Future Travel Certificate can be used towards any 2021 or 2022 departure and is combinable with all Uniworld public promotions in effect at the time of redemption. Future Travel Certificates are non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash. Certificates are transferable upon written request by the original recipient. Airfares booked through Uniworld are subject to airline cancellation fees. Guests also have the option to rebook and use this credit on a Guided Vacation operated by Trafalgar, Insight Vacations or Luxury Gold for 2021 or 2022.

*Revised cancellation policy as of September 2, 2020. This supersedes all previous cancellation policies and is subject to change.
