With a rich culture and history and some of the friendliest people in Southeast Asia, Laos is a wonderful country to visit. Walking around the ancient capital of Luang Prabang on your tour of Laos allows you to admire the mixture of traditional Lao architecture and French flair with the natural beauty of a colonial city encircled by mountains. Visit the Royal Palace Museum and Wat Xiengthong, one of the most beautiful Buddhist temples in all of Laos. Voyage down the mighty Mekong river in a traditonal long-tail boat to the mystical Pak Ou Caves. Stop at Ban Muang Keo village to learn the tradition of lao-lao brewing. Visit the Friends Visitor Center to learn about the work done at the Friends of Lao Hospital for Children. Stop at Phou Si market to watch the locals trade their fresh produce and at Ock Pop Tok Weaving Center to interact with local craftswomen and view their handicrafts. Witness rescued Asian bears playing and feeding at the Asian Bear Rescue Center, and venture to find the beautiful Kuang Si Falls, (sometimes spelled Kuang Xi or known as Tat Kuang Si Waterfalls).
