Quebec City

Evening on Ile D' Orleans and Montmorency Falls

Join us for a special evening on the Ile d'Orleans. Located a few miles east of downtown Quebec. The “Island of Orleans” was one of the first areas occupied by early French colonists. Gaze upon the towering Montmorency Falls; higher than the Niagara Falls. The impressive Montmorency Falls stands 83 meters (272 feet) tall and forms at the mouth of the Montmorency River, where it drops over a cliff into the St. Lawrence River. After your visit, continue traveling through the rolling farmlands to the south side of the island and stop for dinner at Le Moulin de Saint-Laurent Restaurant, where renowned Chef Martin Pronovost, nominated for `Canadian Chef of the Year` in both 2010 and 2011 has constructed the menu. Le Moulin de St. Laurent prepares dishes with great passion and the result is a flavorful dish waiting to be discovered. Approx. duration: 3 hours.

Easy booking online. Alicia was very helpful with all our questions.
Vacation
Canadian trip was fun and pace was good. Saw something each day and had free time to do things on our own as well. Like the buffet breakfasts over the order from menu breakfasts. Would have preferred more sit down lunches and dinners as a group. Then we wouldn’t have to find own places to eat.

Working with Josh has always been a delight. He's knowledgeable, clear in his explanations, and quick to communicate with us.

Our tour director Roger Keyes is outstanding. His knowledge, great sense of humor, patience, thoroughness with every detail, generosity, and careful supervision ... all of this couldn't have been better. We'll travel with him again, if given the chance!

The vacation was relaxing. The Tour Director was excellent. I expected more sights to see but unfortunately, did not. In conclusion, it was not a very interesting tour. I have to comment on the food, all the restaurants were exceptional and served really delicious food. and the hotels were top notch.
Response from Grand European Travel:

The contract with Trafalgar proved to be an excellent land tour! The guide, Jen Hirtle, was excellent! Moving from land into the cruise was well organized! We were well informed of everything as we moved along! We were quite pleased with the entire trip!

Received discount for AARP, repeat traveler and early payment which always helps retirees on fixed incomes! The trip was worth the cost!

Would prefer seeing and doing more than riding in the bus. Like more time in places so that you can it.
Response from Grand European Travel:
This trip does cover a lot of ground and there is quite a bit of driving in between cities. We are sorry it wasn't to your liking, but hope there were some highlights for you along the way.

Yes, I would book with them again. The reason I did not give it a 5 is because we were always on the wrong side of the hotel. Our view consisted of a hotel under construction, a view of a neighborhood. We went to see the Falls from our hotel, and that did not happen.

The reservation process was perfect. Kaitoin Fitzpatrick. (ext. 220) was great and very very helpful. The reservation process was painless. Thanks.
