Honestly i didn't really talk to anybody that much when i booked the trip. I was trying to get my money back from the trip but they basically wouldn't do it.
Response from Grand European Travel:
Our apologies that you found the service to be less than satisfactory. Covid played a big part of many trip cancellations and postponements for the last 2 years and we are sorry for the inconvenience. It sounds as if the trip went well and you were able finally enjoy beautiful Scotland.

Definitely would recommend them! A few problems but after three years waiting we finally got to take the trip. The travel Specialists we interacted with were excellent but at least one of my emails was not answered. Originally with Barbara who was great! A good cook also!

It was very packed but well worth the wait. The tattoo was wonderful. Our travel guide was excellent as were the driver and medical support person. We saw so much in such a short period of time but never really felt any of the sights were slighted. There were some extras that weren’t on the itinerary which were super.

Service
Customer service was very good during the Covid years. And rescheduling the trip several times was very easy. There was always a person to talk to, Usually Tess, who knew all of the details and difficulties we were having.
Vacation
To much time on the bus without seeing alot. A 12 hour day going to the isle of Skye only to stop for lunch at a petrol station. This time could have been used in a more productive way. We had a wellness director assigned to the trip that really served no purpose because she never mentioned the wearing of masks to those who were continually coughing, and a out half of the tour group tested positive for Covid after we got home. ( this fact was gleaned from a private facebook group that was set up by our tour director)

Tess was a wonderful contact during these 3 years. Yes, if a river cruise. Bus tours are no longer for me. I can't ride for hours on a daily basis.
Vacation
Too many hours on the bus. Also, a health and wellness directors salary could be of better use elsewhere. Last day 3 people stayed at hotel as they were sick. Last night I got sick, both my husband and I have had covid for the past week. Lots of coughing on bus, we're not advised except 1st evening to wear masks.

Everyone I spoke to in the planning process was very kind and professional. In this new world of travel, they were able to answer my questions and set up everything that was required in a way that did not hinder our travel experience at all.
Response from Grand European Travel:
It certainly is a new world of travel but we couldn't be happier to see that it didn't stop you from enjoying the beauty of Scotland. Thank you!

The tour was well-planned, accommodations were very nice, and the tour guide was fantastic.

The trip was very nice, and when the Edinburgh Castle was closed, the tour guide found suitable alternatives. Some of the stops seemed a little rushed, but other than that everything went very well. Kate Allen was an excellent guide.

Great.....This trip was with 20 people and details already set up. We just joined in.

Our guide had a little bit of an ego problem. When she told the person that got our trip together that "I'm in charge now" I knew not to buck her. Our leader is very meek and soft spoken and would have never bothered her authority.
