The runways of Milan take center stage today as we explore the fashion capital of Italy, where Gucci’s headquarters are located and where Maurizio Gucci and Patrizia Reggiani got married in real life. Join a Local Specialist to see some of the locations where House of Gucci was filmed, as well as the iconic and unexpected highlights of this hard-working city. View the exquisite Gothic architecture of the Duomo, with its massive stained glass windows, the neo-classical La Scala Opera House and ornate Galleria with its imposing iron and glass-domed roof – of course, all in the company of the trendsetting Milanese. The afternoon is at leisure for you to explore or immerse yourself in the European fashion scene.

  3. Day 3 Milan to Como

Journey to Como and enjoy a scenic cruise on Italy’s most famous lake. See some of the most beautiful villas in Italy – homes to the rich and famous where many have stayed including Gianni Versace, Sophia Loren, George Clooney, and Churchill just to name a few. You can also view the beautiful Villa Balbiano that was used to film some scenes in House of Gucci. The rest of the day is free to enjoy shopping in the boutiques of Como, famous for its silk products. Tonight dine at a local restaurant.

  4. Day 4 Gressoney-Saint-Jean Excursion

The resort town of Gressoney Saint Jean in the Aosta Valley was used as a stand-in for St. Moritz in House of Gucci. The town is located at foot of the Monte Rosa, the highest mountain of both Switzerland and the Pennine Alps. Visit the Castel Savoia, the fairy-tale castle of Queen Margaret of Savoy, with its pointed turrets standing out from the surrounding woods.

  5. Day 5 Admire Pisa and on to Florence

Tuscany lures us across the forested Apennine Mountains, past the marble quarries of Carrara to the famous city of Pisa and its Square of Miracles where we will enjoy an opportunity to view the Leaning Tower. Our next stop is Florence, the 'Cradle of the Renaissance'. It is also credited for having some of the best vintage markets and shops. After a walking tour with a Local Specialist, the rest of the day is free to explore the city’s famous stylish streets or the local ateliers and artisan studios.

    meals Breakfast
    hotel Grand Mediterraneo
  6. Day 6 Florentine Fashion

The day is devoted to fashion in Florence. Visit the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum, focused on the history of one of the most renowned Italian fashion firms, featuring a collection of shoes (including custom models for celebrities like Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn), dresses and accessories, displayed on rotation, that depicts the work of Salvatore Ferragamo from the 1920s to the 1960s. Continue onto a visit to the Gucci Garden. Elegantly housed in 14th-century Palazzo della Mercanzia, Gucci Garden is an all-out whimsical ode to the Florentine fashion giant. The practically psychedelic, boudoir-styled boutique on the ground floor is designed as much for experiential browsing as high-end shopping, while gallery rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors illustrate the Gucci story. Connect With Locals over a Be My Guest dinner, joining Count Miari Fulcis on his 15th-century organic olive oil estate which has been featured in many famous films.
