This was our first tour and I had a lot of questions. Your representative was very patient and knowledgeable and answered all of them. I was always able to get through with little wait time,
Vacation
The tour director was excellent, very knowledgeable and always ready to help make the experience great. The local guides were very variable, Some were excellent. Very knowledgeable and informative. Other thought their job was to entertain rather than inform. I found them to be irritable and to take away from the visit. One was so bad (Pisa) I turned off my radio. We booked 2 optional excursions with dinners, one dinner was great the other just fair. The hotels were very good and well located.
Response from Grand European Travel:
Thank you for your valuable feedback. We will be sure to share this with Trafalgar's team for immediate review.

The travel agent book our trip, gave up discounts for early booking, took care of our air fare, and was very helpful giving us information about our trip to Italy.
Vacation
We enjoyed all the sights, food and art work, while traveling in Italy. However, on the walking tours, the pace was too fast, some elderly people on the trip (with walking canes) had trouble keeping up with the guide.

Very easy booking experience once I realized I had to book flights by phone. I was trying to do it all online but the airline part kept not working. Once I spoke with someone I was able to complete everything.
Response from Grand European Travel:
We are glad to see that everything worked out for you and that you enjoyed the trip.

I loved everything that was offered. Even purchased a few extra excursions and they were well worth it. My 80 year old mother was able to keep up with everything, I was very grateful. Marina was absolutely wonderful, one of the best tour directors I have ever had.

Tess was an excellent help in getting my trip together. Since I chose this venue to be in the Cities, it’s too bad so many Optional Excursions left the Cities and went to the countryside. We only had one morning in Florence- no museum as a group- although Florence has the world’s best Renaissance art.
Vacation
Many good times. Quality personnel. Would have been better to see Florence instead of the countryside. Also why leave Venice to see far off fishing village? The venue is called “Great European Cities” that’s what I chose. Not pleased to have missed the banquet so I could see Florence.

Our travel coordinator at GET was terrific and quick at responding. I just had some issues with email communications coming from different email addresses that could have eliminated some confusion but, otherwise, good experience with booking.

What a terrific time my husband and I had on this Italy trip! There is no negative thing to say about it. Our tour guide and our bus driver were the best...very professional, experienced and made the trip enjoyable. We also had a great group of fellow travelers. We want to travel again to Europe and hope to have a similar experience.

It was excellent. Our program director Rosella Roncari was so caring, knowledgeable and lovable I couldn't imagine more of personal involvement than that which she had shown into ours casual problems during the whole trip.

This is the second time I take the trip of "Great Italian Cities". It is worth every minute of it. Maybe I would take a third tour sometime in the future. Who knows!

I believe I received the best buy after comparing with a couple other agencies. I spent enough days in each of the major cities to appreciate their way of living and culture. The added optional tours were excellent as well. However, it would have been nicer to have some of the options included in the package.
