From beginning to end this trip was handled with professionalism and personal care. We always knew the "who, what, where and when" details of our travel experience. In addition our tour guide Rafael, took special care of us when my husband had an asthma attack by taking us back to the hotel by taxi. Thank you Rafeal.
Vacation
This was our first trip to Spain, Morocco and Portugal. We loved seeing the colorful sites, learning historical facts and seeing the cultural differences of each country. Our tour guides were great sharing their wisdom and knowledge. We had some difficult people and situations on our tour that our tour guide, Rafael handled very professionally. Thank you Rafael.

Best value for the price. So much info from our Travel Director. Our Driver was so helpful getting us to places on time and assisting those who needed help off and on the coach. Gave extra touches to our luggage when we had to access our carry ones from time to time.

Service
Yes I would recommend Costsaver with the caveat that future travelers are clear about what to expect. Just by looking at the tour map, one should expect long bus rides but along scenic vistas. If you dont enjoy long bus rides you should consider a shorter trip. Also hotels in Morocco will be sub par compared to Spain and Portugal, which have already been reported by other travelers. Just be ready. Another surprise was having to carry your heavy bags through immigration screening to and from Morocco and Spain. Trafalgar should hire porters to assist. After all many travelers are AARP members.
Vacation
Be ready that Trafalgar will be pushing rather expensive optionals which vould raise your total cost by 30%. The hotels will be located away from the center of town so do your research so you can go see sights and dinners on your own. Otherwise you will have no choice but to sign up for expensive optionals. Be ready for high pressure sales pitches when tour is herded into carpet, leather and other vendor presentstions. Carry enough change to tip local specialists. Be ready for long walks inside the Fes Medina. 3 hours at least. During the included dinners, please add more bottles of water at the tables. In fact shouldn't this be unlimited? After the 2 bottles were consumed at a table for 8-10 travelers, any extra water had to be paid extra. Overall the tour was great. The tour director Javier was very organized, knowledgeable and always entertaining. (Thank you for thr Guitarra Espanola CD!). The bus was very comfortable and always kept clean and the drivers made us all feel safe. One sugeestion regarding seat rotation — i suggest that the starting seat assignments be done by lottery. 3 Exotic countries in 17 days — very memorable.
Response from Grand European Travel:
We appreciate your honest feedback and will be sure to share it with the Quality Control team at Trafalgar.  We are happy to see that overall, you enjoyed the trip and cam home with some happy memories.

Service
Our travel specialist, Javier Galvez, was excellent, his leadership was wonderful and he handled everything perfectly. What wasn’t great was the hotel in Tangier, no ac, no tv, no telephone, but the worst was every glass in the dining room had big chips, that would have cut your lip if you weren’t careful. The hotel in Fez wasn’t much better. While I know our tour was a cost saver, I don’t expect to navigate around big chips in glasses. The majority of the hotels were wonderful, especially the one on the beach on Costa del Sol. Our fellow travelers were all very pleasant, enjoyable people, who were always on time for every meeting.
Vacation
Basically the same review especially as relates to the hotel in Tangiers and to a lesser extent, Fez.

Service
Since I did not book the trip I did not fully understand the program and little could be found on the web site to educate me. Our tour guide and coach driver were professionals and the best part of the tour.
Vacation
Hotels were poor to average and the included food was poor. If you enjoy 15 days on a coach this trip is for you. 8-12 hours a day on a coach traveling between cities is not my idea of a holiday. To participate in daily "optional" tours would have cost you about 1/3 additional $ and more time on the coach (no thanks).
Response from Grand European Travel:
We are sorry to hear that Guided Vacations may not be the right fit for you.  We appreciate your honest feedback and wish you happy travels in the future.

Service
Hotels in Morocco were horrible, they smelled and looked dirty. Breakfast in Morocco was disgusting, it seemed they just reheated the left over dinner and served it for breakfast. Also we were always given free time prior to city tour, which I thought should have been done backwards. City tour then free time, would have made more sense. Maybe more time in Portugal and less in Morocco.
Vacation
I know it was a cost saver but the hotels in Morocco were dirty. I was very disappointed. I trusted Grand European and I felt I was lied to.
Response from Grand European Travel:
We are so sorry to hear this.  We will be sure to share your comments with Trafalgar's Quality control team right away.  It should not have made a difference if you were on a Cost Saver trip or a First Class trip.  Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

The tour guide director David Nadal was expectacular with everything from consideration with the people who had food allergies to tha pace of the elderly people. One thing that I was extremely disapointed was the hotel and breakfast of Moracco. I understand it was an economy saver trip but the hotels were scarry some of them worst than others but in general not what Gran European Tours usually offers. I would not considered taking another economy saver trip. I was told that hotel will be far from the town center but this ones were also in terrible conditions and some things were not even working properly.
Vacation
The Moroccan hotels were not in good conditions
