  1. Check in to your Jackson hotel and enjoy an afternoon at leisure before meeting your Travel Director and fellow travelers for a Welcome Reception this evening.

  2. Admire the dazzling natural wonders of the Grand Teton National Park by raft as you float* down the Snake River. Visit to the National Museum of Wildlife Art, then walk through the town's signature elk-antler arches during an afternoon at leisure. Enjoy a Regional Meal with live entertainment this evening.

  3. Learn about the Mormon settlers of Jackson Hole before continuing through the scenic Teton Park Road. Stop at the Colter Bay Visitor's Center to view a collection of Native American artifacts. Arriving in Yellowstone National Park, you'll pay a visit to Old Faithful and encounter Yellowstone's geothermal wonderland.

  4. Explore the rusting walls of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, then continue on the upper loop to Dunraven Pass, the Lamar Valley and Mammoth Springs, renowned for its multi-colored mineral terraces.

  5. Big Sky Country beckons next as we travel through Montana and stop at the Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site for insights into the Western cattle industry.   6. Enter UNESCO-listed Glacier National Park and journey along its Southern Road with a stop at Goat Lick Overlook to see its famous mountain goats.

  8. Head to the UNESCO-listed Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, located across the border in Canada. Meet a Blackfoot Native and Local Specialist who'll explain how brave hunters would drive herds of buffalo over the cliff. We'll continue north to another UNESCO-listed site, Banff National Park.

  • We suggest bringing a variety of lightweight clothing items that can be layered to save space in your suitcase and give you more options for how to dress. For more helpful information please refer to our Packing Tips & Packing List.

  • At the end of your guided vacation, it’s customary to offer your motor coach driver and Travel Director a gratuity.  We recommend $4-5 per person/per day for your driver and $6-7 per person/per day for your Travel Director.  Recommended gratuity for a Local Host and Local Specialist is 1-2 dollars per person, paid at the conclusion of each guided visit.  A convenient option is to prepay your tips before your departure.

  • Baggage on our trips is restricted to one large suitcase per person with dimensions not exceeding 30x19x10 inches and a maximum weight of 50 pounds. You are also permitted one piece of hand luggage, which should be small enough to fit under your coach seat or on the small overhead shelf compartment. Please note that luggage with an adjustable handle and wheels will not fit in the overhead compartment of the coach. Hotel porterage is included in your vacation.

  • You will need to be comfortable on your feet, walking and standing for up to three hours in various weather conditions.  All of our vacations involve walking, often on cobblestone and uneven surfaces in historic city centers.  In order to get the most out of your vacation you need to be able to comfortably walk 1-3 miles unassisted in one day, be in good condition and be able to keep pace with the group. 

    If you need any medications, it is important that you bring enough to last you the whole trip and keep them in your carry-on bag while you travel.
