Josh Pericas was very patient and nice with our travel booking. He did find the right flights from Chicago to Rome and back for us. He was very pleasant and elegant through out the process.
Vacation
Our trip was very excellent. The tour director Chris Daily was very excellent. He kept everyone on the track through out the entire tour. He made sure that we are always on time. He was great with communications as well as directions. He talked lot about the places we are going to visit including history in detail, at the same time kept everyone in the loop. Our Bus driver Luca was as good as our tour director. Always on time with very clean bus. Always standing at the exit door to help people getting off the bus. Excellent and very safe driving. Only negative I can say about the entire travel was the hotels we stayed in Italy excluding hotel in Venice. We stayed three nights in Rome at hotel ERGIFE. This hotel was not only just OK but dirty carpeting all over and mold in the bathrooms. I think you should pressure them to clean their act as you offer them lots of business. We also experienced A/C problem at Starhotels at Saronno. They asked us to open the windows and finally provided a electric fan upon insistence.

Very helpful with one exception. Wasn’t told until a few weeks prior to trip that my passport (which still had several months remaining had to be renewed and quickly. I did but it was tight getting it before trip. Wish that had been caught earlier.
Response from Grand European Travel:
We are sorry to hear about this added stress at the last minute, but glad that it was resolved and you were able to take your trip without worry.

I received all my needed documents well in advance of our trip so that I could review and understand. They kept me informed and answer all my questions.
Vacation
I would have given them a 5 star. The only thing I didn't like was, when we didn't want to go on some of the optional side trips, we still had to go with the group and wait while they attended. Only one option allowed us to stay at the hotel instead of leaving with the group. This would have been okay if we were big shoppers but we are not. Otherwise, we enjoyed the trip and all the other guest ,guides, bus drivers and host.

Booking was very easy, no issues. Everything went as the brochure listed with various side trips and lots of fun with the group, I would not hesitate to book with Grand European Travel again.
Vacation
The Italian Scene trip was wonderful! Saw so many cities, landmarks, historical areas plus a variety of foods. So glad we decided to take this trip. Our tour director, Lidia, was awesome and made sure we saw as much as possible and explained in detail. Pierro, our bus driver, was the best at navigating through and around narrow streets and traffic.
