  • At the end of your guided vacation, it’s customary to offer your motor coach driver and Travel Director a gratuity.  We recommend $4-5 per person/per day for your driver and $6-7 per person/per day for your Travel Director.  Recommended gratuity for a Local Host and Local Specialist is 1-2 dollars per person, paid at the conclusion of each guided visit.  A convenient option is to prepay your tips before your departure.

  • Baggage on our trips is restricted to one large suitcase per person with dimensions not exceeding 30x19x10 inches and a maximum weight of 50 pounds. • You will need to be comfortable on your feet, walking and standing for up to three hours in various weather conditions.  All of our vacations involve walking, often on cobblestone and uneven surfaces in historic city centers.  In order to get the most out of your vacation you need to be able to comfortably walk 1-3 miles unassisted in one day, be in good condition and be able to keep pace with the group.

If you need any medications, it is important that you bring enough to last you the whole trip and keep them in your carry-on bag while you travel.

The plan also includes trip interruption, baggage loss or delay, and medical and emergency assistance. Click here for a summary of coverage details, terms and conditions.

Vacation:
Service rating : Your employees(Diana Acosta leader and driver Hugo were the best in all ways. would go anywhere with them at any time. The bus was so comfortable and Hugo's driving was amazing. Diana could not have been more accommodating and just down right pleasant and interesting and interested! The areas covered were well done but there was a lot of back tracking- sorta hard to get from here to there. The train was very nice and the Indians and people of Mexico were delightful. Wish there were more places available to visit by bus- colonial loop, Taxco, Guadalajara, Oaxaca
Vacation : Tarahumara Indian baskets were wonderful as is the Mata Ortis Pottery. Would have enjoyed more shopping opportunities.

Vacation:
Service rating : It was a good trip right up to the end when it turned to hell. Both your brochere & itinerary stated that we would be back at the Hilton Garden Inn by 6;30PM. But instead we arrive aT 8:30pm. had two elderly ladies waiting there and not knowing what was going on. There is no way we can get there by 6:30pm from where we left from in Mexico. Yes we had construction but that can be made up on the road and the border crossing was pretty normal. So get that corrected in the brochere and elsewhere. There should be some compensation for people that have to wait in the dark and not knowing what is going on. Thanks Dave Pernot...........................................
Vacation : I explained in the previous box.
Response from Grand European Travel:
We're very sorry for the late arrival into Phoenix.Usually our groups are able to meet the 6:30pm arrival time without issue. Our brochure does state that the time is approximate and depending on traffic and border crossing conditions. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused.

Response from Customer
Thats a pretty feeble excuse for an apology when you say that those are appr times that the bus well be at the Hotel by 6:30P. As stated before there was no unusal delays in out travels out of Mexico So get those times changed in your brochere and come up with a compensation from those that had to go through this mishap. Or I can bad mouth GET from here to hell and back. Dave.................
