The booking procedure was easy and pleasant, as has been the case with our previous vacations arranged through GET. It was in the process of traveling to our Munich, Germany destination, however, that we really were impressed with the assistance offered by the travel specialist. Our flight from West Palm Beach was delayed due to weather, making it impossible for us to make our connecting flight in Newark. My wife called GET from the airport in WPB. We were told there was one more flight out of Newark to Munich that night, but that the flight was full. A short time later, we got a call back that two seats had opened up, and we were confirmed on that flight! We were able to board the plane with minutes to spare, and arrived in Munich in plenty of time to meet our Tour Director. What seemed for a time to be a ruined vacation was salvaged by the assistance we received from your travel specialist.
Response from Grand European Travel:
We are so happy that you made it to Munich safely and on time. We pride ourselves on helping guests manage those types of stressful situations with the airlines. Thank you!

Our tour director, Tony Emerson, was knowledgeable, personable, and extremely helpful. We saw more enchanting locales than we could ever have hoped to see. The meals were all outstanding, and the accommodations were all top notch, and in perfect locations in the heart of everything.

The agent listened to our travel needs and was able to book the flights as requested.
The tour director--Antony Emmerson--was excellent! Because of his guidance we felt comfortable and confident in navigating the areas. The optional experiences were top-notch! It was a truly rich educational experience.

Our tour director, Dr. Q. Moayad, was so very knowledgeable, nice, interesting & interested in each tour member, knew everyone by name, made every journey & stop an adventure, & went above & beyond to provide service to our group. I just can’t say enough good things about him. This trip was a celebration of mine & my husband’s 40th wedding anniversary. Dr. Q. presented us a cake one evening at dinner. Yes, I would recommend GET & “Dr. Q” to others & would consider traveling with them again myself! The Sound of Music tour with Dr. Q. was so much fun & I made so many wonderful memories.
Response from Grand European Travel:
Thank you for letting us know you had an incredible time! We're so pleased to know that you created wonderful memories, loved your Travel Director, and would recommend us! We're also privileged to have been a part of your 40th wedding anniversary and are so happy that we could all make it that much more special.

I've made more than a dozen coach trips and "The Sound of Music" was one of the best. The places we visited were interesting and showed us the cultural side of the Bavarian Alps. Our tour guide, Wolfgang Speil, was awesome. Every event was well organized and went like clockwork. Wolfgang really impressed me with his vast knowledge of the area. I would recommend any trip offered by Trafalgar.
We made all of the optional trips. They were well worth what I paid. We stayed in very nice hotels with full buffet breakfasts. The coach was new with a top rate driver, Wolfgang Hold.

Was left at airport with 9 other travelers with no pickup and had to take train into Munich. Experienced the same thing in 2010 with trip to Ireland and Scotland. Would not recommend traveling with your company to anyone, just the opposite.
Response from Grand European Travel:
We're sorry to hear about your experience at the Munich airport. Our included hotel transfer times are scheduled at 10:00am and 1:00 pm. It appears your flight arrived just after the first group had already departed. I apologize that the wait for the next scheduled transfer was longer than anticipated. Optional excursions a part of any escorted tour. Unfortunately, there are occasions when certain excursions are not available and this is one reason we must offer them as optional since we cannot guarantee their operation. To experience the best parts of this trip, one had to pay extra. Very poor trip.
