very helpful and hassle free
vacation was great, except that a couple of the hotels were not up to the first class standard,,hotel at salzburg was not great, and the hotel at lucerne as beautiful as the building is,the room was extremely small,a fan that you had to wind every couple of hours. Its my third trip with getours and second to switzerland and i still don understand why they make a stop to interlaken, its a waste of time, being that they just drop you at the plaza field and thats it,i would have prefered to have stopped at brienz or even better at grindewald or lauterbrunen, all and all it was a great great vacation

GET operates well as a clearing house assigning travelers to which provider hosts the trip of the traveler's choice.
I do not EVER rate anything Excellent. We enjoyed the destinations or we would not have chosen this tour.

The agent we dealt with at Grand European Travel was not that helpful. He very seldom returned our call. The couple in our group had to cancel the trip due to unexpected sickness and they wanted a friend to take thier place but the agent never returned thier phone call. They did not get the credit for the airfare for the next trip either.Grand European Tour never notified Trafalgar of the cancellation and never forward the registration data which we filled it over and over to Trafalgar and we had to registered with Trafalgar all over again. Now we have learned not to book our airplane ticket through the Grand European Travel.
Response from Grand European Travel:
We're sorry to hear about your friend's unexpected sickness and not being able to go on the trip with your group. Airlines do not allow people to just take other peoples places on flights. Our tickets carry penalties and we would have to book a new reservation under the new persons name. In most cases, travel insurance will cover these penalties and changes if you chose to add it to your reservation. Grand European Travel

Very good tour guide and excellent driver!
Response from Grand European Travel:
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Many of the hotels in some European cities, do have air conditioning at all. We do explain this in our terms and conditions, but please accept our apologies for your inconvenience in Lucerne. Grand European Travel

The only negative comment is: the Grand Hotel Europe in Lucerne, where we stayed the last two nights of our trip. is advertised as a 4 star hotel. It is NOT - not when you charge for wifi and NO air conditioning!
