  1. Day 1 Arrive Denver

    Fill your lungs with that crisp Rocky Mountain air on this Colorado trip! You’ve arrived in Denver, the ‘Mile High City’, which has more than a hundred breweries and tap rooms, giving you a chance to find your new favorite pale ale, pilsner or stout. Later, you’ll meet up with your Travel Director and fellow travelers with whom you can spend the rest of the evening relaxing or discovering the best of Denver your way.

  2. Day 2 Rocky Mountain National Park

    You’ll feel like you can touch the sky during your visit to Rocky Mountain National Park, a sky-high showcase of 60 epic peaks. This Colorado highlight is a wilderness of luscious landscape unfolding throughout the day. You’re in for an amazing treat as you travel along Trail Ridge Road to the roof of the Rockies where the views are breathtaking, making you feel energized and excited for the next leg of your thrilling Colorado adventure.

  3. Day 3 Denver - Grand Junction

    Today starts at the picture-perfect village of Vail, followed by historic Glenwood Springs, where you’ll find the confluence of the Roaring Fork Rivers, before continuing to Palisade. During summer, we’ll stop at Clark Family Orchards, a seven-generation farm where you’ll tour the orchards. In cooler months you’ll visit another local fruit store for tasty seasonal picks. The ‘River City’ is just a short hop away where we kick back for the night.

  4. Day 4 Grand Junction - Durango

    Enjoy your breakfast with a view at the Colorado National Monument, totally immersed in the beautiful nature. Next stop: Ouray, the ‘Switzerland of America’ in the heart of the San Juan Mountains, before the Wild West calls. Durango, a former mining town and rail center, is today’s last stop where you can explore this historic town and have an al fresco dinner.

  5. Day 5 Durango at Leisure

    You’ll have the whole day to ride, hike, explore and even get your feet wet during our Choice Optional Experience rafting adventure on the Animas River. If history’s more your thing, take a walking tour through downtown or a walk to the city’s founding by the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad in 1880. With Mesa Verde National Park’s breathtaking cliff dwellings, the Choice Optional Experience is home to some of the best-preserved Ancestral Puebloan archeological sites in the US. Or choose to go on our most popular raft trip through Durango.

  6. Day 6 Durango to Alamosa

    Durango and Alamosa have been connected since the late 19th century and along the way the first stop is at Pagosa Springs Area Visitor Center to get your fix of the stunning views overlooking the San Juan River. Once in Alamosa, there’s time for lunch before letting loose your inner child at the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Reserve. Then it’s back to Alamosa, with its night skies providing a staggering starscape.

  7. Day 7 Alamosa to Colorado Springs

    The sightseeing loop brings you for two nights to Colorado Springs, where the foothills of the Rockies provide a stunning backdrop, but it’s the 14,115-foot Pikes Peak that will make your jaw drop.  First though, a guided visit to the Garden of the Gods, which is much more than a world-class Visitor & Nature Center, and is paradise for nature lovers. At night you can explore the hip hidden bar scene, a nod to its notorious prohibition past.

  8. Day 8 Colorado Springs Sightseeing

    It’s your final day in Colorado, so make every second count; whether you tackle one of the endless outdoor activities or explore the city’s vibrant culture. Or hop on one of our epic Choice Optional Experiences – you can do both in one day! For hikers, today is your chance to explore the many stunning trails. Or choose to visit the US Olympic and Paralympic Museum before a toast to Colorado with an Optional farewell dinner at a local restaurant. Cheers!

    The beauty of Colorado and all you’ve seen and experienced the past few days will linger long after you leave Denver, where our wonderful Colorado trip comes to an end. It’s time to say goodbye to new friends as you prepare to return home or surrender to Denver’s irresistible charm and extend your stay. There’s a complimentary transfer to Denver International Airport with an approximate arrival time of 10 am.

11th Street Station Food Truck Park

From tacos to pizza, sushi to Thai cuisine and gourmet sliders, 11th Street Station’s independent food truck kitchens can cure any craving. Each food truck vendor is locally owned and operated, in keeping with our Main Street culture. The grounds provide enclosed and exposed dining right in the heart of downtown Durango. It’s outside. It’s fair fare. It’s relaxed. Guests will receive food and drink tickets for items at one or two trucks of their choosing.

Mesa Verde National Park Sightseeing

Opt to visit the fascinating Mesa Verde National Park. Established by Teddy Roosevelt in 1906, Mesa Verde National Park protects some of the best-preserved Ancestral Puebloan archaeological sites in the United States. UNESCO World Heritage status was established in 1978, and today the park is consistently on the shortlist being considered one of the best cultural attractions in the Western USA. The park contains some 600 historic cliff dwellings including the largest in the country, the amazing dwelling known as Cliff Palace.

Mountain Waters Rafting

This is our most popular raft trip through Durango! It is about 1 hour on the river and goes through fun Class II-III rapids. Perfect for beginners and fun for every experience level. We’ll splash through Smelter, Sawmill and Santa Rita Rapids. When the water levels drop after the spring runoff, there are opportunities for swimming and horseplay as you float along with the raft.

US Olympic and Paralympic Museum

You are invited to take part in a 60-minute storytelling experience led by a tour guide. The tour highlights the origins of the ancient and modern Olympic and Paralympic Games, the legacy of U.S. Olympic & Paralympic athletes, stories behind the artifacts, and more.
