  2. Day 2 Picturesque Grand Teton Views

Kick off your vacation as we head to Wyoming, where you'll be taking to the water on a scenic boat trip across Jenny Lake. You’ll feel like you’re in a landscape painting admiring the snow-capped peaks of the Tetons and breathing in the fresh mountain air. You’ll arrive ready to put boots to ground on a hike to Inspiration Point where you’ll encounter a cascading waterfall and spectacular views across Grand Teton National Park. Next up, enjoy more sightseeing in the Tetons at the Chapel of the Transfiguration, Mormon Row, or one of the many scenic spots in the area to capture the vast wilderness. Reaching Yellowstone National Park packed with beautiful hikes, grand vistas, you'll want to make the most of every moment. This afternoon hike the Clear Lake Artist Point Loop Trail for a moderate 3.9-miles, and as you circle the lake you’ll get a taste of the highlights of Yellowstone, from forests to wildflowers and a Grand Canyon overlook. Rise and shine and beat the rush to see the best of Yellowstone on a morning hike. You’ll take the Grand Prismatic Overlook trail before the crowds arrive, gradually climbing 105 feet to a view across Grand Prismatic Spring and the Midway Geyser Basin. If you’re up for another hike, tackle the Fairy Falls Trail for a flat, easy 4.5-mile hike to Fairy Falls, one of Yellowstone's most spectacular waterfalls. This afternoon, let your Travel Director lead the way to more Yellowstone sightseeing as you make your way from Lower Geyser Basin and Grand Prismatic Spring to the Upper Geyser Basin and Old Faithful. You’ll be surrounded by pine, mountains of a grand scale, and bubbling geysers and feel like you're in an alien land as these gurgling pots make their presence known all around you. At Old Faithful, stand back and enjoy the show. And if it’s winding down, rest assured that Old Faithful will spout up again shortly. You’ll return to your lodge ready to relax and take in a mountain sunset or review all those incredible photos from the day.

  4. Day 4 Discover Big Sky Country

This morning Dive Into Culture visiting the Madison Buffalo Jump. This massive semicircular cliff was used by Native Americans for 2,000 years as the site for stampeding herds of bison off the edge. All of the bison was then used for food, clothing, shelter, and provisions—a sustainable practice and an important part of Montana’s history. Then go from land to water relaxing over lunch at the marina on the Missouri River in the foothills between Helena and Great Falls before joining the Gates of the Mountains Boat Tour. Cruise through land once explored by Meriwether Lewis of Lewis and Clark past towering limestone walls. You’ll feel like an explorer yourself as you keep watch for wildlife from Bighorn sheep to black bears and get up close to the Native American pictographs painted on the rock walls. After a day in the wild, you’ll arrive at your home for the night in historic Helena. After a big day in Big Sky Country, rest up for tomorrow’s exploration of Glacier National Park.

  5. Day 5 Unlock Montana History

Your day begins enjoying a peaceful respite in Montana’s grand surroundings at the Garden of One Thousand Buddhas. Tucked into a quiet valley, this public park, botanical garden, and center for Tibetan Buddhism welcomes you with its 1,000 made-in-Montana images of the Buddha arranged in the shape of an eight-spoked Dharma wheel. Stroll among the sculptures learning about their symbolism or simply enjoy the beauty of this pastoral land dotted with artwork, unique structures, and meditative ponds. Then you’re off for a Be My Guest lunch and MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience at Salish Kootenai Native American College. You’ll enjoy a hosted tour, indigenous arts and crafts workshop, and lunch from a local, indigenous-inspired food truck while learning how the college’s mission is to provide quality educational opportunities and support for Native Americans. Wind down your day with a scenic drive along Flathead Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, on your way to Whitefish. Arriving at this adventure hub, you have the evening to explore the town’s many shops and restaurants or stay in and bask in the view of the distant mountains.
