  1. Day 1 Welcome to Idaho Falls

    Welcome to Idaho Falls! You’ll begin your small group tour - Yellowstone, The Tetons and Glacier National Park, at this small town on the Snake River. Tucked in the Rocky Mountains, you’ll feel the spirit of outdoor adventure as soon as you settle in. Meet your Travel Director and fellow companions for a Welcome Reception and toast to seven days of exploration.

  2. Day 2 Picturesque Grand Teton Views

    Kick off your vacation as we head to Wyoming, where you'll take to the water on a scenic boat trip across Jenny Lake. Breathe in the fresh mountain air as you admire the snow-capped peaks of the Tetons. Next up, enjoy more sightseeing in the Tetons at the Chapel of the Transfiguration, Mormon Row, or one of the many scenic spots in the area that captures the vast wilderness. As we reach Yellowstone National Park, packed with beautiful hikes and grand vistas, you'll want to make the most of every moment. This evening head back to the lodge to rest up for your next big day in Yellowstone.

  3. Day 3 Adventure Time in Yellowstone

    Rise and shine and beat the rush to see the best of Yellowstone during a morning hike on the Grand Prismatic Overlook Trail. This afternoon, let your Travel Director guide you to more Yellowstone sightseeing as you make your way from Lower Geyser Basin and Grand Prismatic Spring to the Upper Geyser Basin and Old Faithful. You’ll be surrounded by ancient pines, majestic mountains and bubbling geysers, feeling like you're in an alien land as these hot springs make their presence known all around you. At Old Faithful, stand back and enjoy the show. If it seems to be winding down, rest assured that Old Faithful will spout up again shortly. Return to your lodge ready to relax and take in a mountain sunset, or review all those incredible photos from the day.

  4. Day 4 Discover Big Sky Country Dive Into Culture Make Travel Matter

    Start the day with a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience accompanied by your Yellowstone Forever Educator. Enjoy the sights and sounds of Mammoth as you unlock the dynamic nature of the Yellowstone Volcano and discover how it affects life in Yellowstone. Then Dive Into Culture at Madison Buffalo Jump, learning how this massive semicircular cliff was used by Native Americans for 2,000 years as the site for stampeding herds of bison off the edge.

  5. Day 5 Unlock Montana History

    After breakfast, learn about the history of Helena and how it became the capital city of Montana during a guided tour of the Montana Historical Foundation. Afterward, relax with a scenic drive along Flathead Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, created at the end of the last Ice Age by a large glacier. Stop for a picture-perfect picnic along the shores of Flathead Lake where your Travel Director will find the ideal spot. Make the most of the stunning vistas while enjoying fresh, local food and drink.

  6. Day 6 Start the Morning with Peace and Beauty Connect with Locals

    Begin your day with a visit to the Blackfeet Reservation and a foraging expedition. Learn about Pikuni (Blackfeet) names and uses for plants, along with how to properly gather, process and consume them today. Your foraging expedition will be followed by a Be My Guest lunch at Chewing Black Bones Campground (seasonal) where you'll connect with locals as you gain insight into Native American history and the sacred place known to the Blackfeet people as The Backbone of the World. Make the most of your final day with a visit to Glacier National Park. The majestic scenery, flowering valleys and open prairies of Going to the Sun Road will have you snapping postcard-worthy pictures. Back in Whitefish, celebrate all you’ve experienced over a Farewell Dinner with the group.

  7. Day 7 Depart Whitefish for Kalispell

    It’s been an epic seven-day tour of Montana and Wyoming, but sadly all good things must come to an end. Enjoy a final, filling breakfast in Whitefish before you are transferred to the Kalispell airport by noon.

Be My Guest

  • Whitefish: Join Mariah Gladstone (Blackfeet, Cherokee) on a Be My Guest Experience that will take you on a foraging expedition on the Blackfeet Reservation. You’ll learn about traditional Pikuni (Blackfeet) names and uses for the plants, along with how to properly gather, process and consume them. After your gentle hike enjoy a traditional meal, made of ingredients native to the North American continent, and engage with Mariah as she tells stories, shares her history and answers your questions.

Dive Into Culture

  • Gallatin Gateway: Situated on the edge of a broad valley carved by the Madison River, this high limestone cliff was used by Native Americans for 2,000 years - ending as recently as 200 years ago. Native people stampeded vast herds of bison off this massive semicircular cliff, using them for food, clothing, shelter & provisions. 0.5 mi hike to the overlook.

Iconic Experience

  • Grand Teton National Park: See Grand Teton National park with the shimmering peaks of the Teton range rising up above alpine forests and lakes. The park is famous for it's 40-mile long Teton Mountain Range including the major peaks of that particular range.
  • Yellowstone National Park: Without a doubt a bucket list destination for many travelers - welcome to Yellowstone National Park. Established as America's first National Park by President Grant in 1872 Yellowstone is famous for it's hot springs, bubbling mud pots, vast canyons and lush forests as far as the eye can see.
  • Helena: Join a guided visit at the Montana Historical Foundation. Gain insight into the history of Helena, and appreciate the rich cultural heritage that this non-profit charity works to preserve.
