Accommodations were very good. Tour drivers were tops especially with some narrow roads. Tour guides made the tour fun and informative. The back stories of places and social events. Yoshi san, the second guide, did an excellent job. Places and stores interesting. The group as a whole were our own little “United Nations “. Tour groups have some very interesting people to meet. Our group represented South Africa, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and the USA. Maybe I missed someone. Planes, another story. If I am going to Tokyo, why fly to Hong Kong and then back to Tokyo . That did not make sense.

Easy to talk with the travel specialist. The price point was fair. I just don’t like that. I can’t get frequent flyer credits for my air travel..

Yoshi was an excellent guide. Kiki was great. Shioji was fair. I only had one day in Osaka because my plane left 7 o’clock in the morning and didn’t even have breakfast. Needed more time in Osaka. I would’ve liked to had group pick up from the airport in Tokyo as well as some form of transportation back to Tokyo. I was able to get the airport limousine from Tokyo to Shinjuku at a reasonable rate. But leaving from Osaka to Kansai airport ran us about $125. I feel that one of the optional experiences was overpriced at Toko Yaki. The international group we had on a tour was just excellent. Everybody was so friendly and helpful.

Vacation

Danillo our tour guide was extraordinary. He was engaging, funny and shared many tips about the various locations as well as Italian history. He got us into the best restaurants, a great pizza place in Rome as well as dinner as guests of locals in Tuscany and Umbria. We didn't have to worry about long lines or wait times to get into various sites and venues because everything was well arranged in advance. He also prepared us with email messages prior to the trip, which was extremely helpful. Our driver Luciano was amazing, friendly and very professional. The tour participants were also great. We made good friends and shared wonderful photos of our adventure together. All in all, it was a fantastic first trip to Europe and we will definitely recommend Trafalger and travel with this tour operator again and again.
