We could have been provided with a more detailed travel itinerary. It was difficult to make decisions for optional excursions when we didn't know exactly what the day would bring until the day before on the trip.
Overall, the booking and travel experience for the Best of Britain tour was good, but not fabulous. Our tour director did not meet my expectations in many ways. Her strongly Italian accented speech was so rapid that she was difficult to understand most of the time on the bus. When we were walking as a group in a location, her pace of walk was too fast in my estimation, as many of our group had difficulty keeping up. Also, she did not carry an umbrella, flag or other object that would make it easier to follow her in very crowded city situations. I also felt that her responses to questions or comments was condescending at time, and once was heard to say, "well it is a bus trip". Not sure how we were to take that, as we had all paid a significant price for that bus trip. She did provide little "gifts" to each of us several times during the trip, but honestly, I would have rather been able to understand her. I had taken a previous bus trip to Italy with GET, and my experience was vastly different. The tour director was superior, told us lots of interesting information about the county, what we were seeing, etc., etc. This was what I expected and it did not occur on this trip. We were also asked to make "on the spot" decisions about optional excursions, without really knowing what we were booking.
As far as the booking process, it was OK. The itinerary information we were given prior to the trip was very lacking in detail and many of the stops we made were a complete surprise. Trafalgar could do much better in this respect. There were WAY TOO MANY stops each day. The tour director told us that if they don't do this people won't book the trip.

Invigorating. Immersive. Fascinating.
…but, oh, soooo tiring. Lots to take in. My only complaint is not being able to spend enough time at some places, which is a bummer, but I learned so much, experienced a-plenty, and loved it all the same. :)

It was wonderful. Our tour guide was amazing. Loved all the places we went to.
The weather was perfect. When booking this I was a little nervous, however the people I spoke to at GET were great to work with. After talking to them I felt more at ease. Great company to deal with. Looking forward to my next adventure!!! Great time had by all.

Touring the three countries was a wonderful experience. Seeing the beauty of the land and rich culture of its people was integral in this trip. We loved hearing from the local specialists who gave us such detailed information about their city or historic site.

Had to call GET to get the itinerary & travel plans in about 2 wks prior to travel.
We were not picked up fr the Geneva airport to go to our hotel upon arrival. Had to get a taxi & pay on our own. We waited at the airport x 4 hrs, we were at the pick-up spot at 11A, yet somehow we were missed.
We believed the tour coordinator came early & found other passengers claimed to be (6) people (we didn't confirmed with anybody!) & left while we were at a short distance away to avoid cigarette smoke.
Overall, the trip/tours were great!
We were not cautioned ahead of time that Zermatt would be cold, we didn't bring warm jackets.
Food was OK, great breakfast selection, enough free time to roam & explore around
Hotel rooms were great, small rooms but firm beds
Tour driver was excellent

We had the best tour. Our guide, Agnes, was informative, always upbeat, and the sights were amazing. We were with a great group of people who all got along and were always on time for every event. Armenio, our bus driver, always had a smile for everyone and took us through our trip safely. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to see Spain and Portugal.
