My sales rep. at GET did a great job. Very efficient.
Our tour director, Michael Murikami, did an excellent job. He gave us 100%. The hotels in Kona and Lahaina were exceptional. We enjoyed the planned experiences and some of the meals. The low point of the trip was the Aston Hotel in Honolulu. The breakfasts and dinners were unsatisfactory. This hotel is old, requires maintenance, needs to be updated, and has a very slow elevator system requiring frequent 20-30 minute waits. The Outrigger at Waikiki was an excellent hotel. The change to the Aston doesn't work. It's like a high-rise Motel 6.

I was able to talk to an agent without a long time on hold which is important to me. She answered all my questions and got us booked for the Best of Hawaii without several follow up phone calls
We found it not to be as relaxing as we had hoped for Hawaii. It was either relax on the beach or take optional tours we wanted. We chose to do some optional tours which were great

In general the trip was good! Have enjoyed Hawaii very much. Could have arranged a few more sighting activities instead of free time. The hotel in Maui is excellent! One night in the big Island would be enough.
Response from Grand European Travel:
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the Aloha state!

Excellent value, great inclusions and optional excursions.
Tom Pugliese of Trafalgar took our vacation to the next plateau. If all your tour directors were like him, we would have no problem booking other vacations using GET and Trafalgar.

Tour guide was knowledgeable, accessible and managed a diverse group of people very well. Movement from island to island was well planned so that on day of arrival at new location we were occupied until rooms at hotels were available.
My only reason for not rating excellent is that I don't tolerate heat very well.

We had traveled with Grand European on their Italy trip and enjoyed that so much that we booked our Hawaiian trip again through them. Although we had never toured with Trafalgar before, we felt comfortable, since it was part of Grand European. We were not disappointed at all and our Trafalgar tour director did a great job.
Response from Grand European Travel:
This is so wonderful to see! Hawaii is such a beautiful place with so much to see and do. We are very pleased that you were able to experience it with your Travel Director Joseph who truly does have a love for his home state! Thank you so much for writing. Dee-Grand European Travel

Although our first hotel in Oahu was under renovation (wished we could have been there when it was completed) everything else fell into place. We enjoyed each of the three islands, Oahu, Hawaii and Maui, each with it's own and very different landscape and style of living. During our tours, the narration from our tour director, Joseph, and the bus drivers, added so much to our experience and knowledge of each of the islands. We would have missed so much without them. The extra excursion tours gave us the option to try other experiences and although it was sometime difficult to choose only one at a time, we enjoyed everything we did. We always felt comfortable having either our tour guide or the bus driver with us to make sure things went smoothly. Most of the meals included with the tour were satisfactory, not exceptional, but we never went hungry. The meals on the optional tours were the best. Breakfasts in Oahu were the best! The grounds and the pool of the hotel on the island of Hawaii were the best. All in all, though, we would definitely tour with Grand European for our next trip!

You are a great tour company. I especially appreciated the help I got over the phone when I messed up flight arrangements I had made leaving from the wrong island. I feel like "mother" is always there, from your home office to your excellent tour guides who are determined to make everything go well. Great job!
Was a great tour. Fun excursions and great meals and hotels.
