France is for lovers. Lovers of art, architecture, history, fashion, cuisine, wine, scenery—all the ingredients for a perfect French vacation.

Paris

During the day discover the iconic sites of Paris, including the Louvre Museum, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, Sacre Coeur Basilica, and drive the Champs-Élysées to the Arc de Triomphe. Then, spend your evening in sizzling Montmartre—the haunt of famous artists and writers including Picasso and Dalí—and enjoy a cabaret at the Moulin Rouge.

Venture outside the city to the opulent Palace of Versailles to walk in the footsteps of King Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette.

Normandy

History buffs will no doubt want to pay a visit to this region located on the Atlantic coast. Visit the magical abbey of Mont St. Michel, as well as Dunkirk, where the British army was pushed to the brink in 1940, and the D-Day landing beaches, where Allied troops began the campaign that would liberate Europe.

French Wine

Oenophiles (wine lovers) will head straight to the vineyards of Bordeaux—to sample iconic blends of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot—and Burgundy—where you can sip the world’s best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. While in Burgundy, be sure to try the fare in France’s cuisine capital, Lyon.

The Loire Valley in central France is also an incredible wine region and home to numerous châteaux—the elegant country homes and glorious gardens of aristocrats.

The South of France

Visit the Palace of the Popes in Avignon, relax on the sun-kissed Mediterranean coast, enjoy the romance of the French Riviera, and experience the splendor of Monaco.
