Setting up the trip went fairly smoothly, with only a few delays getting info to detailed questions, mainly involving airline flights booked thru GET. However, we are very unhappy with pickup and exit arrangements for the airport at the start and end of the trip. NO allowance is made (such as reimbursement or a flat rate) for those who arrive or depart at any time OTHER than the day of arrival and departure of the actual tour, leaving them to fend for themselves and pay extra for this service, even though the same amount is paid for the tour as those who DO choose to travel within those guidelines. Of course, it is not expected that GET provides the actual service at these other times, but due to the fact that the same tour fee is paid as by those who DO get to use the service, an allowance should be provided to cover the extra expense incurred. After all, the main reason for arriving a day or so earlier is to make sure there are no last minute problems trying to arrive on the actual tour start day, with airport delays, lost luggage, jet lag, etc., thereby ensuring a smooth start to the tour and less stress for the tour director. And the same at the end of the tour, taking an extra day or so to relax after a whirlwind several days in a row with early wake-up and busy schedule, only to get penalized for not going to the airport per rigid, inflexible guidelines. Yet there are no such provisions, and this suggestion has met with a very cool response to say the least, when brought up in previous discussions with GET. No one seems to care or be the least concerned about this real world situation, causing extra expense for your customers. We were hoping to travel again with Get, but have now found some of your competitors that WILL allow for this situation, and it is for this reason alone we will NOT be booking any more trips with GET, and certainly NOT recommending GET to anyone! Your failure to react and adjust to this justifiable need is indeed sad and disappointing! I would certainly hope this concern gets passed on to those who may be able to address it, but given the past history, it probably won't, as it's apparently "too hard" to deal with, and doesn't warrant any further action. On the rare chance that it does, we would appreciate a response indicating what, if any, steps are being taken to rectify this obvious shortfall in customer service.
Response from Grand European Travel:

Definitely yes!!! I have always had excellent service booking with GET and appreciate the advice we receive with each booking. I would highly recommend GET to friends and family, as GET provides a wonderful travel experience from booking to the end of the trip.
Response from Grand European Travel:

We loved the itinerary which included all the major spots in Switzerland and a couple stops, one in Lichenstein and one in Italy. In eight days, we received a fantastic view of these countries. We have unforgettable memories of the magnificent Swiss Alps. This is a trip possible for the working public, as it gives so much in a concise 8 days, for people who can't take off long periods for travel.

I have dealt with GET many times and been very satisfied. This time, I wish they would have allowed more time between flights on the return trip in Amsterdam. An hour and a half is not long enough. We had to run to make our flight.
We really enjoyed the tour and had a great time.
