I loved Ireland. The trip covered just the right things to entice me to return. Our tour director, Peter Flood was extremely knowledgeable and so willing to share facts and anecdotes. While the fog prevented us from seeing the Cliffs of Moher, the weather cooperated for the rest of the trip. I wish we could have stayed a little longer in Galway and Dublin, but that is a good reason to make a return trip. I was especially interested in the gardens and we saw some beautiful ones.

Josh was absolutely wonderful. He offered his help and advice several times as we went along. He always answered our questions and was always engaged and honest in his answers. We couldn't have been taken care of any better.

wonderful tour of Ireland. Very informative and fun. Jill was an excellent tour guide, and shared recipes and information with us daily. Our bus driver, John, was great, and gave extra help to a family traveling with young children. We all appreciated his help and driving ability.

Vacation
Lovely trip. We had a wonderful tour guide, Jill and a great bus driver, John. We stayed in nice hotels and saw many beautiful places in Ireland. We enjoyed fellow travelers from all over the world, too. Jill added to our experience by playing CDs of Irish music and comedy. The food provided was good and music and dancers were wonderful.

The tour itself was 5 star. However, being partially disabled, having asked the agent before and during my booking, they were not forthcoming with the actual rigors of the tour. I even asked about scooter rental, which they dismissed as not being available or necessary. Consequently, I missed seeing several sights as I can only walk for short distances The bus stairs were also a detriment. The tour guide and bus driver were also 5 star. If you have health/disability issues, beware.
Response from Grand European Travel:
We are very sorry to hear about the difficulties you faced while on your trip. All trips we offer do require a great deal of walking with stairs involved. We do try to make the physical requirements clear in our brochure and website and apologize if this was not made clear to you when you booked.

Early January is the perfect time to go to Ireland. It makes it feel more like you're a local and less like you're just on vacation. I take most of my trips in winter for this reason alone. What a beautiful country.
