Regal traditions and ancient monuments take centre stage today as we embark on a full-day excursion from London. Armed with your 3-day travel pass, London truly is your oyster. Your Travel Director will give you suggestions on how to make the most of your full day at leisure. Walk through 'The City' exploring the oldest part of London - the imposing dome of Christopher Wren's St. Paul's Cathedral, Leadenhall Market's ornate façades and the Tower of London, with its grim history and extraordinary royal heritage. Pay tribute to Admiral Nelson in Trafalgar Square and wander down The Mall to Buckingham Palace, the official London residence of the UK's sovereigns since 1837. Alternatively, consider a full-day Optional Experience to the enchanting Cotswolds, visiting Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon, with a stop in the university town of Oxford to admire the towering spires of cathedrals, churches and colleges.

  5. Day 5 London Borough Food Market and Iconic Museums

Saunter past the buzzing stalls of Borough Market, London's most renowned food market which has been feeding locals for centuries. 'Dive Into Culture' and rub shoulders with the locals who buy the best of British produce here. Spend the rest of the day visiting London's extraordinary museums, many of which are free to visit. Use your London Oyster Card to traverse the length and breadth of London. Perhaps visit the British Museum, whose global treasures are symbolic of the extent of the Empire in centuries past, or the Imperial War Museum, sharing the story of modern warfare from World War I to today.

  6. Day 6 Westminster Abbey and Kensington Palace with English Cream Tea

Imagine the kings and queens who have glided gracefully up the 13th-century mosaic floor of Westminster Abbey. We'll have an opportunity to explore this architectural wonder on a guided visit with a 'Local Specialist'. Find out why this church lost its cathedral status and pay your respects at the Tomb to the Unknown Soldier. Later, visit Kensington Palace and 'Dive Into Culture', gaining insights into the lives of the Royal Family. Tour the Royal Palace, which was once home to Diana, Princess of Wales, and now houses the private apartments of her son Prince William and his wife Kate. We booked a tour for London tour with Trafalgar and this was our first tour with them. We enjoyed the trip however felt our tour director was really not that knowledgeable or helpful. The local tour guides were great and had so much knowledge

We had no problems booking our tour and our air travel. The London Explorer tour with options keep us on the go, but was worth it. Very nice hotel with great full breakfast included. Ellie Teasdale, our tour guide was exceptiional.
Vacation
Great included tour, but taking advantage of options was really worth the extra expense. Really nice accomadations for hotel and included meals.

Service
All was done professionally and well.
Vacation
Excellent well-located hotel with good optionals (although somewhat misleading as the Cotswolds, for example, were not really toured. Nor was Greenwich. Our young guide was quite inadequate in almost every respect but charm. He gave little advance info, little onsite info, especially Greenwich, led poorly, and, in general, was the worst guide we’ve ever had. Waaay too laid back.

The original flight was changed on April 2, 2019 to arrive later in London with my approval, however, upon our arrival the agent for Trafalgar was not there. We did hook up with her later and she was unaware that the flight was changed. She did obtain a taxi for us to the hotel. Other than that the trip was great.
Response from Grand European Travel:
We apologize for the misunderstanding and frustration caused by your flight delay. We do communicate all flights changes to our London office, but apologize that this one did not seem to get to the right people. We are happy that you enjoyed London despite the rocky start to the trip.

Everything was excellent. Alyssa was the perfect person, professional and very knowledge on her field. I am very happy with everything she did. As a matter of fact I am asking her to help me with my next vacation in 2020.

From the moment we got to London to the day we returned, we were completely taken care of. Transportation to and from the hotel, all the tours, the guides were the most professional people. We had a great time and we fell like we saw everything we had to in London.

Service
My trip was excellent. I had the same airplane seat going afor each day in thend coming back. However, I think that I will get the aisle seats in the premium economy. The airport transportation from and to the airports were fine with very friendly drivers. The hotel was located in a great location. It was easy to get buses and the Tube. The breakfast and services was great. The Guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The tour bus was very clean and comfortable with friendly and kind drivers. The weather was very decent with no rain. The other travelers were nice and friendly. The descriptions in the GET for each day were accuracy. I enjoyed this trip. Each day, our guides gave us the time for each morning activities and early evening for dinner. They made sure that we all were accountable before leaving.
Vacation
It was a great trip and the weather was better than I expected it to be. My hotel room was fine. The guides were great and beside the main guides, we had other guides that know more about certain parts of the sightseeing.. The tour bus was clean, nice, and comfortable. The length at each place was enough time. The Cream Tea was great, and the dinners were fine and I had choices for each dinner.
