Travel Director

  • : "One thing I really love about showing guests about Norway is how people have lived and flourished for thousands of years in harsh, unforgiving yet, stunningly beautiful landscapes."
  • : "I love to see how guests respond to Norway's northern fjords. When the Lyngen Alps appear for the first time, a majestical mountain range in northeastern Troms county in Norway, every single guest goes "wow", "ooooo" and "aah". Then every single camera comes out begging for a photo stop. It certainly is a phenomenal moment of pure beauty."

Had a flight change but wasn’t an issue. Did have to hoof it a bit to get through the passport check! Otherwise smooth travels. Thank you for honoring the initial cost since the trip had to be rescheduled!

Good balance of free time and “managed” time. Our driver Tomas did a fantastic time keeping us safe. Our guide Gwen took care of our needs and this in spite is f Mother Nature. We had snowy days, clearer days and saw the northern lights our last day above the Arctic Circle. Because there wasn’t enough snow to do some of the optionals…we did not lack with the friendly folks in Finland and Norway. Each place had something special to it. So glad I made this trip.

Daniel booked the trip as he did two previous trips; he is fantastic! He is very through and this trip even though the was a two day strike by Lufthansa it went very well.
Even though this was the first trip to see the Northern Lights everything went smoothly. We saw the Northern Lights on three different occasions and didn't have to use a "whisper". Lots of free time, which I like, and the optional tours were wonderful. Even there was lots of snow in early November, it was a dry cold and I brought my boots and down coat. Laura, the tour director, was wonderful; so knowledgeable and shared her enthusiasm round the group!
Response from Grand European Travel:
It sounds like you had a wonderful time and everything went perfectly despite the airline strike. We thank you for you business and taking the time to share your memories of Scandinavia.
