They answered all of my questions, gave me timely reminders, and made the booking process easy.
It was a trip of a life time. I had dreamed of walking in the footsteps of my ancestors my entire life. Our tour guide, Andrew, was knowledgeable of the area and the history, throwing in extra facts and small side trips which added to our experiences. For the most part we didn't feel rushed which was one of my fears taking a guided tour. The pictures are of Blair Castle (my ancestral home), Glasgow Cathedral, and Stirling Castle (another ancestral home). I enjoyed every minute. A guided tour was definitely the way to go in an area you aren't familiar with. We had no stress like we would have trying to figure out where to go, how to get there, and then driving on the wrong side of the road. We will know for next time what we want to see and those places we need more time for our next trip to Scotland. We will definite take another Trafalgar Tour when we got to Italy and then Ireland.

It was very easy to book this trip to "The Best of Scotland". The agent was informative and explained all that was involved with this wonderful trip.
Fabulous experience! I saw all that I'd hoped to see during this comprehensive trip. Some of my favorites included castles (of course), the shepherd working with his sheep dogs was amazing. The Tattoo in Edinburgh was an experience I will not forget. The visit to the special dinners at both venues was great fun. The music was lovely. Our tour guide, James Smith, was delightful and patient with all of us. Thank you for providing this wonderful adventure.

Customer service is stellar.
There were a lot of stops with not much time. James and Tommy were excellent and had a chemistry making it seem they were good friends, but in fact this was the first time together. Everyone in the group was fun. I would do it again in a heartbeat. The Military Tattoo was a bucket list item and it did not disappoint. It was a magnificent show.

Needed a wee bit more time in some places. Transfers and accommodations were mediocre
The Royal Tattoo was spectacular and Edinburgh is an exceptional city in August. With more advanced knowledge we would have done more independent exploration, as seasoned travelers. However, others may prefer the more structured package. Seeing Carrbridge is an interesting juxtaposition. I would have liked time to interact with the denizens of each location.

Yes, I would highly recommend Grand European Travel. You have humans answering your phones! Those wonderful humans are personable and aim to help your booking to be the best "fit" possible. They never disappoint me.
The Best of Scotland was everything I wanted. I could have used more time at Eileen Donan Castle and would have liked to go a bit further on the Isle of Skye. The other venues were perfect.

Kaitlyn , our rep, was very professional and helpful. Answered emails in a prompt manner!
Loved the Tour Director, Steve. He was so knowledgeable about Scottish history and geography!! A wealth of information!! And a good sense of humor!! Made the trip more enjoyable!! Alan the driver did an amazing job on those narrow roads!! Hotels were good. Carrbridge was older but that was part of the charm! Food was good at all the hotels. Optional tours were great! Very enjoyable! The Be my Guest dinner was great fun!! Coach was clean and comfortable. The only downside was there was not enough time at Edinburgh Castle!! One hour and 45minutes was not enough! The military Tatoo was a once in a lifetime experience!! Fantastic!! All in all ... a fantastic time!

They were very responsive to all of my questions. I felt as if I was the only person booking this trip, and that they were tiring to make this my trip of a lifetime.
This was the way to go for a single person. You make friends to share your with. And thought you don't feel alone, there is time to be on your own.
