My husband handled the booking of our trip. We found the travel specialist to be efficient and knowledgeable about the current travel restrictions and assisted us with booking our flights. Any and all questions we asked were answered or addressed in a timely fashion. We were very satisfied with all arrangements and would highly recommend Grand European Travel to our friends and family.

Vacation
This vacation was fabulous. We have not traveled anywhere for the last three years because of Covid. I was afraid to travel but felt safe and well cared for. Having the wellness specialist was a nice touch. Our tour guide Roderick is a gem. He was always available and truly did his best to see that everyone had a great time. All of the tour specialist in each town were remarkable with their knowledge and willingness to share all they knew. Their pride for their country was evident . I took notes every evening and plan to do a bit more research on all I’ve seen and witnessed.

Tour director Steve Fowler was excellent! Organized, humorous and kept us all in line.
Vacation
Loved all the cities we went to. Some of the local guides were better than others. Some overwhelmed us with history while others talked more about day to day life which was more interesting as I had read up on the history. Most of the hotels were very good which makes a huge difference. Our tour director enhanced the trip and added to the enjoyment. The evening entertainments were all excellent.
Response from Grand European Travel:
It sounds like it was a great trip overall. Thank you for sharing your feedback!

Service
Overall the tour was great. Jon, and the driver did a excellent job. The dinner at Saxon Gardens in Warsaw, Poland was bad with both food and service. On our tour we had a husband and wife that brought their very large retarded son with them. The son was very disruptive and rude. Always interrupting tour guides with dumb comments and always, using his 300 plus size, to barge ahead of others in any line for any event. There should be some way to not have this type of behavior on an expensive tour. I don't know if you can do anything to screen against this type of behavior but thought you should know of this problem on our tour.
Vacation
This was not a vacation but a tour. Nothing relaxing about a tour. If I want a relaxing vacation I go on a cruise.

Service
Booking experience was fine. In reality, there was minimal contact with the Travel Specialist, and he was never available when I called back, but I always got my questions answered.
Vacation
The itinerary (choice of cities visited) was very good, but 2 nights per city was not enough for us. The staff (tour director and driver) were friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The motorcoach was clean and comfortable. The hotels were high quality, but some were located farther from the interesting sections than I would like, i.e., not within walking distance. Hotel location was the primary reason I picked Trafalgar over Cost Saver (and paid double in the process), so this was a bit disappointing. Local guides ranged from OK to outstanding. Biggest issue was communication, which should be improved. Optional tours were described in minimal detail and we were not told far in advance what time of day they covered and how they meshed with the included tours. Clearly, all this info was available to GET well in advance of departure - why not share it with the customers? Also, I had not expected to spend so many hours a day travelling between cities, although I suppose I could have researched this on my own. But lunch stops and rest stops were well-planned. Good experience overall, just need work on communicating daily schedule well in advance.

Rob was very informative and helpful, and gave us lots of insights from his own experience on this same tour.
Vacation
Our travel director and driver were pleasant, professional and helpful. The local specialists were exceedingly knowledgeable and informative. I would suggest something like a flight-attendant call button or intercom on the bus so that we can ask questions of the travel director while en route as we pass interesting or unusual sights.
Response from Grand European Travel:
Fantastic idea! We will pass that on to our teams overseas. Thank you!

The tour went like clockwork. I loved the hotel and meals. As a person who has celiac disease, I was apprehensive about the meals. The tour guide and the restaurants bent over backwards to prepare special meals.
Response from Grand European Travel:
That's wonderful to hear. We do try our best to accommodate our guests with special diet requirements and we're so happy that it worked out well for you. Thank you for choosing GET!
