laura was very helpful & infomative when we were booking the trip
because of the guide heavy italian accent it was difficult to understand him. the cinquerr terre trip was a disaster. i had to pay for my cab to go to the train station to be on a crowded train for an hour. saw thr beach, went to thr bathroom, ate lunch & went back to the crorded train for another horrribe hour back, our luggage was lost . it seems it never made the bus to milan. upsetting & inconvient next day was found, but we had to lay ourt money to take a csr to & from the hotel to pick up pur luggage. we purchased some necessaryt clothe but ocouldnt by too much cause we didnt have a bag our first tour was wonderful with daisy. loosing the luggage ruined any joy we may have had about the trip.getting it back on the last day only helped because we can wear clean clothes. very dissappointing hotels, one was like a hostel, the other was like straw matteress. if you wanted a guest leave early. very dissapointed with accomadations. if this was a cost saver trip it could pass, we paid good money for your expertice & reputation for inclusive trips. VERY DISSAPOINTED.

The tour was very good. The Lake Como tour on Day 3 (optional) was too late in the day and too short. The visit to the meat factory on Day 8 was a waste of time.

They answered every question with patience and promptly.
I loved the lakes visited and also being across from the Mediterranean Sea. Cinque Terre, or at least a couple of the towns, was more touristy-souvenir shops and restaurants mainly, than I expected. But, I enjoyed the stops in Genoa, Parma, Santa Marguerita-Ligure, Baveno--places that some tours miss when they concentrate on Rome-Venice-Florence only.

I called GET in early January concerning this trip. As a single traveler I had noticed that there was no single supplement on a couple of dates in August. I was fortunate to get Alyssa Rucker, as these agent when I made my first call. She informed me that she had to clear the no supplement and would get back to me in a few days. In the next few weeks she continued to update me while I was in Chile. On January 31st I was finally confirmed and paid my initial deposit. Throughout the process she was competent, great to work with and outstanding communication skills. In June, I decided to book another trip and called Alyssa to work with her again.
Response from Grand European Travel:
Thank you so much for your kind words. We will be sure to share your feedback with Alyssa and appreciate you taking the time to write.

The hotels were very good as well.I have no complaints about anything. The guides for the tours were excellent too. The reps I spoke with on the phone through GET were great as well. They took their time to help with all my questions and needs.

I thought for the most part GET did a good job considering we had 6 family members with 4 last names to coordinate. My only hesitation to give 5 stars is I had to explain that fact to each agent I spoke to and felt that it should have been in the notes of my file.
We had an amazing time and our Trafalgar tour guide Paolo was simply the BEST!!! I thought it was a good value for our money.
