Thailand Travel Tips

Thailand welcomes visitors with a spectacular collection of ruins, temples and ancient cities. Set in Southeast Asia, it borders Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, and Malaysia. And with nearly twenty percent of the country covered in rainforest, there’s no shortage of natural beauty here. Lush landscapes offer an abundance of wildlife sanctuaries and national parks to discover. Bangkok, the capital city and largest metropolis in Thailand, is famous for its chaotic atmosphere and undeniable charm. With bustling local markets, lavish palaces and river taxis, the city offers something for every interest.

Thailand is also home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Ko Samui, an island off the southeast coast, is an untapped paradise; And Phuket, the largest island, connected to the mainland by a bridge, has its own distinct culture and treasures to discover.

Thailand has a tropical climate with pleasant weather much of the year. The rainy season is from July to October, but it rarely rains all day. November through mid-February is the cool season, and during the summer, mid-February through June, it can get hot. Southern Thailand rarely gets cold, though this area is subject to monsoons from May through October.
