Inspired by poetry, the architecture is said to be a reflection of paradise as described in Islamic verse. Immerse yourself in the tranquil atmosphere in quiet courtyards, follow its colossal ancient walls and admire the ornate stone carvings. We leave Granada behind for Córdoba where we'll join a 'Local Specialist' to visit the mesmerising Cathedral of Córdoba, the former mosque of the caliphs and a jewel of Hispano-Islamic art featuring striking arches and Byzantine mosaics. Our final stop for the day is alluring Seville, our home for the next three nights.

Leaving the zesty scents of Seville behind, we head to the golden landscapes of the Alentejo, where the Brito Paes family await our arrival for a special 'Connect With Locals' experience on their traditional Stud Ranch, which has been rearing Lusitano horses since the 18th century. Enjoy a traditional 'Be My Guest' lunch in the home of their ancestor before continuing to Évora for a guided sightseeing tour with a 'Local Specialist' to its cathedral, Roman temple and Chapel of Bones. We arrive in the clifftop city of Toledo and join a 'Local Specialist' for a guided walk through its streets. We'll visit the Church of Santo Tomé, home to one of El Greco's most famous paintings – 'The Burial of the Count of Orgaz' and the former Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca. Later, 'Dive Into Culture' and witness local craftsmen at work creating inlaid steel the traditional way. We arrive in Madrid this evening, our home for the next two nights.

Barbara did an excellent job of helping me with all aspects of planning this trip. She also quickly returned phone calls.
Vacation
Although we covered a lot of territory and saw a lot of each area, but , we spent more time on coach than I expected. I felt that optional trip in Algarve region. should have been included because hotel was in outlying area not near anything, so nothing to do if you did not do the optional afternoon.

Hotel accommodations, photo opportunities, additional activities, and "ears" added to the overall experience. The tour director and local guides were all excellent and provided travelers with a plethora of information. Everything was well planned and executed. Definitely a five star trip.

GET has many good tours. This was my second tour. Very easy set up. Josh was our GET rep and was fantastic.
Vacation
Organize the route better: too much time on the bus traveling from one destination to the next. Needed more time in Madrid. Also, one day, the challenging walking was much too onerous for many on the tour. Guide (David Nadal) was great as was the bus driver (Paolo).

Service
The hotel rooms were dated and too much bus driving by sites. I thought this was all inclusive and was surprised that we were nicked and dimed, for the optional tours. The Tour Guide was wonderful, as was our bus driver.
Vacation
I do not think I would go on Trafalgar with another bus tour.

I am satisfied and happy with the entire tour - tour director, driver, places covered, hotels used and commentary of local guides are informative and enlightening of the local people and culture.

I would recommend this tour to friends. I have been to both countries before but each time I discover something new and wonderful.

Jean was a terrific Tour Director! Pedro was a careful and great bus driver.
Vacation
WE were kept busy and got to see a lot more than we expected. Hotels were the best. Could have used wash clothes when showering. Also tubs were slippery as they had no grip strips on the floor of the tubs. I would definately recommend Grand European Travel.
